@fesshole My MIL wants to be called by her regular nickname, so I call her by that. It feels a little weird to me but it's how she wants to be addressed and I can respect that.

Daughter needs to learn to respect people's boundaries, and SIL was terribly rude to put MIL on the spot in public like that.

But it's way past time to reach out.
