Well known Twitter researcher Jane Manchun Wong, finally deactivated her Twitter after #ElonMusk begins attacks against Apple.
This act of Musk may be a watershed moment for his own downfall,
Kara Swisher, also declared that "Musk has become the most disappointing tech industry person".
To begin w/, his fame at Tesla & SpaceX was largely due to the background of the company takeover (He was NOT a original founder) for Tesla and the influx of the huge NASA budget for SpaceX.
@FlashMobOfOne And...don't be so quick that "states can just ignore it." Having a bipartisan fed law like this gives more ammo for the justices who wish to stop ultra-conservative activist justices to ignore the will of representative of the People.
@FlashMobOfOne In terms of fed law vs. state law, fed law is still above state law. Yes, there's still this allocation that many things (e.g., penal code, family law, contract etc.) are under state law but over all, in terms of hierarchy, when there's a battle btw fed law vs. state law, fed law is still above state law. Yes the current SCOTUS 6 justices are trying to undermine even that, but having a bipartisan fed law still speaks volume.
Yes it doesn't bind states, but it's nonetheless important to have a fed law like this.
It's stronger when we can lay multiple grounds, including social awareness, acceptance and norm, vocalization of such norm in various contexts, and legislation (you have to start somewhere!!
I liked my (very first!) American apple pie. I'll definitely repeat that. I have also made apple-pear pie before (not for Thanksgiving but just as a seasonal thing). I loved it...will make again soon.
Most of all, I'm so glad I have time for #baking again!!!!!
Ahhhh these classic cloth-cover editions!!!!! I want to line my shelves up with all of these? (Being a Manhattanite I am super short of bookshelf real estate…) I am determined to buy at least one copy of something!! Book-reading is also about holding the actual book in hand, feeling the paper and enjoying the font…
(I confess I was thinking these thoughts as I squirt a dash of Kewpie mayo over leftover turkey to give some moisture and flavor... it's heating up in my green pan with leftover stuffing & extra oyster mushrooms...
I have this mind love/hate thing about what Japanese ppl do with English language...
I wish they consult native speakers before putting weird embarrassing phrases on T-shirt etc.
But there are some phrases that are weird-cute that I don't know if I want them to stop using or not. For example: "volumy" This became so ubiquitous it made an Urban Dictionary entry: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=volumy
Another one I hate-like is "mayoler" pointing to mayo-addicts who put mayo on everything (U know those ppl
@IntlLawGnome Oh wow, congrats! I hear that even though we share the same common law roots, Canadian law can be surprisingly different in some aspects. This is an impressive path you are taking!!
