I've got a playing card sized area of road rash from a bike wreck on my left elbow and because I'm not smart I keep forgetting it's there and resting it on the armrest of the couch, which is fine until I go to move my arm and it, uh, tears loose, and THAT HURTS and I smack my forehead because I can't believe I forgot yet again.
GAH. -

I'm posting this for a friend and in case I forget. If you wreck your android phone, when you get a new one, Google wants you to use 2FA to set up your acct on the new one, and the 2FA options require access your old phone.
Go to your google account on desktop (log in, click on user icon, go to Manage Your Google Account, go to the Devices tab) you can log out of your dead phone. Then Google offers to send you confirmation information to your new phone number.

Heh, I got a new follow notification, and by the time I clicked on the person's name, it returned "account suspended". The mods are hungry.

You know what's worse than listening to someone learning piano?
Listening to someone tune your piano.
My innards are squinched up so hard hearing these notes. -

Today youtube finally started blocking whatever I've managed to put in place so that I have to watch full thirty second ads before watching videos.
Well, I guess now I can get more things done in my life without having that distraction. -

@Radical_EgoCom I've spent the last three days listening to content from Terrorcon, generally about the Franklin Expedition's deaths in the northwest passage in 1824, but some of the people spent a bunch of time talking about recovery of much older frozen vertebrates and even new evidence for long-term dinosaur occupation in permafrost during the late Cretaceous. There were snow dinosaurs!

@clarity this is not what you need but slime forest adventure is closer to Ultima 2 than rogue, and all the interactions are hiragana or katakana in the version I played. I believe you can set it up for kanji but am not sure. It was designed to teach written Japanese.

So THESE lunatics play bike polo on singlespeeds at a local park on Wednesdays and guess what I'm doing next Wednesday.

Elf cyclecar, some diy welded frame outside that was very nice, and a big pile of frames with ski mods.
Ok I'll stop now and chortle over the rest of my pics on my own as I know nobody else is as obsessed with stuff like this as I am.

S-works with rear end damage and a spare chainstay set, mostly because the owner was offering to change the size using a hacksaw. Cool large capacity water carrying setup that I'm going to implement in titanium for my bikepacking friend.
Softride four bar suspension stem on a vintage world cup raced Volvo/Cannondale.
People were giving so much stuff away. Someone gave me brand new gloves because "I smiled nicely" -

Well y'all Veloswap was wonderful and my favorite day of the year exists again so I can be happy and have hope for the future.
So I'm gonna post a bunch of pictures.
There are loads of bamboo bikes out there. @attoparsec has a lovely bamboo cargo bike. But the AluBOO was a weird side quest using bamboo main tubes in an otherwise light aluminum frame.
Crazy titanium design, reminiscent of old softrides, where the seat boom flexes slightly for cushioning. -

I DO NOT NEED THESE.
Those Kleins. Arrrgh.
There were so many bikes that were practically at giving away prices. It was interesting to me this Schwinn was dated to the month of its production.
Another booth had a whole run of lugged steel Schwinn Paramounts that had never been painted, unfinished, right off the production line when it shut down. -

Some of these parts are ridiculous and I cannot justify dropping that kinda cash even though I quite fancy them.
Campy high flange: gnarrrrr I mean I already have a fixie wheelset with these I don't need more.
Crazy power meter crank with adjustable crank length. Terrible idea, even for $500, which is a fraction of the new price.
Mag wheels yo.
And the tiniest Regina FW it is so cute I just want to squeeze it
