@skinnylatte Thanks for the suggestion! My main reckoning point here isn't so much cost as it is relying on labs for good scans. Even at the expensive labs, 35mm processing is significantly cheaper than all the Polaroid I shoot 😊. But I do want to try a bunch of different labs, so Brooktree is on the list now.

I recently shot my first roll of #35mm since the 90s (and first ever with not-a-point-and-shoot), and I'm pleasantly surprised by how many I'm happy with.
I'm going to need to do some reckoning with being completely uninterested in doing my own developing or scanning while also hating doing any sort of post-processing, but right now I'm just having fun with it and I'm already halfway through my next roll. #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm

@skinnylatte Well @smellsofbikes is not local, but I went for the first time last month! And I'd already met almost everyone there at PolaCon in March. Both were a whole lot of fun, I'll definitely be at future ones.

@skinnylatte I know I'm coming with a different palate & standard here and you've probably got plenty of sources for recommendations, but just in case it's useful: Paadee is my very favorite Thai in Portland, with Hat Yai as a close second. If you ever try either of those I'll be curious what you think (and won't be offended at all if you hate it. :))

I made a Long-Tailed Tit! This is my first attempt at representing an actual real bird. There will be more, but next time I am using wax to shape the beak, this one was so tiny it was basically impossible to form with just the needle. And I'll wrap the wire in waxed wool, too, so it looks even more realistic. #NeedleFelting
