@shanselman Nice timing! I just reduced my work week to 4 days, starting March.

When I asked my manager about also reducing my workload, he told me to use AI. (He was kinda joking, but not really.)

In practical terms, the trip works like this:

1. Have a normal day. Have dinner. Pack your stuff.
2. When everyone goes to bed, you head to the station and board your night train.
3. Sleep on the train, and get a small breakfast.
4. Grab a crossaint and coffee in Paris. (optional, but c'mon. You want this.)
5. Board the Eurostar. Get some work done.
6. Arrive in central London in time for a late lunch.

If you're using the DB Navigator app, it won't tell you about this route. But it's there :-)

I just discovered that you can go from #Munich to #London by #train really really easily:

1. Nightjet 486 departs from Munich at 23:16 (3x / week)
2. Arrives Paris Est at 9:38
3. Take a Eurostar from Paris Nord, they run roughly once per hour
4. Arrive in London 2.5h later, e.g. 13:30

In terms of "active time spent traveling", this is as good as flying (get up early, head to airport, fly, train into London).

It's more expensive though, because capitalism.

Die Älteren werden sich erinnern: Die CDU sah sich immer als Deutschlands natürliche Regierungspartei.

Es gab ab und zu unrühmliche Ausnahmen. Aber dann kam die CDU zurück, und es ging weiter wie immer.

Diesmal ist es anders. Merz & Team sehen sich offenbar als Widerstandskämpfer gegen eine Welt, die in übermächtigem Fortschritt begriffen ist.

Warum sonst die Angriffe auf NGOs, und der ganze Trump-Abklatsch? Die haben die Hosen voll.

Immerhin das hat die Ampel geleistet.
