Die Älteren werden sich erinnern: Die CDU sah sich immer als Deutschlands natürliche Regierungspartei.

Es gab ab und zu unrühmliche Ausnahmen. Aber dann kam die CDU zurück, und es ging weiter wie immer.

Diesmal ist es anders. Merz & Team sehen sich offenbar als Widerstandskämpfer gegen eine Welt, die in übermächtigem Fortschritt begriffen ist.

Warum sonst die Angriffe auf NGOs, und der ganze Trump-Abklatsch? Die haben die Hosen voll.

Immerhin das hat die Ampel geleistet.

@grrrr_shark That said, I used to have this one dentist. He didn't even have a waiting room, just three chairs in the hall.

The longest I ever waited was 10 minutes, and everyone apologized.

I asked the team how they managed to almost eliminate wait times. They said "oh, we just schedule the appointments with enough buffer."

Perhaps it wasn't magic after all...

Me, to manager: "I just learned that you volunteered me to do a presentation in an all-hands."

Manager: "thanks for reminding me about my decision. I meant to inform you shortly!"

Ich bin übrigens alt genug um zu wissen, dass für die CDU Merkel immer nur ein Ausreißer nach links war.

Dagegen war es nicht schon immer so, dass die Positionen von CDU und SPD 1:1 austauschbar waren.

Just spent the evening watching our 17yo perform two plays in two foreign languages. He and his classmates wrote one of those plays themselves.

Over three hours total, and a very entertaining time.

I couldn’t be prouder.

After the plays, I helped with cleanup. Their classroom had served as dressing room and backstage area, and was quite a mess.

But on the blackboard was written, neatly and in huge letters: “FCK NZS, FCK AFD“
