It’s the local kayak club. I paid 8,50€, and that includes not only the hot shower, but also a cold beer 🍺

Had a really difficult time getting it up. But I finally made it, and now I’m satisfied

I’m talking about the tent, of course

Today was only an appetizer for the new bike: 25km, 1:20h.

Tomorrow I’ve got 137km planned - the longest I’ve ever ridden in a single day!

Let’s see if I make it. If not, no problem- I’ll just ride more on Sunday, and/or head to the nearest train station and catch a ride home.

But I’m going to at least try.

Despite today’s #bike rise being really short, I still managed to get the bottom 10cm of my pants leg caught in the chain, almost tearing them off.

Great chance to try my emergency sewing kit!

Today I’m picking up my new bike! 🚲🥰

The shop is 300+ km from where I live, so I’ll be riding it home over the weekend.

On the train there now. Pickup is early afternoon. Then I’ll hop on a train to cover part of the distance, and ride for maybe 1.5 hours in the evening.

Then camp, and a long ride tomorrow.

I’m riding regional trains only today. This takes a little longer, but saves me a bunch of money because I have a #Deutschlandticket .

Guy behind me in the train is explaining to his friends how free public transport would be awesome, and make travel easier and cheaper.

But unfortunately I don't have time to go out today. Though I really should go to one of the demonstrations celebrating the defeat of fascism and Germany's capitulation 80 years ago. (Can't believe we're having to do this again)
