@schratze so in Russian lowercase handwritten "i" looks like Latin "u", "p" looks like Latin "n", "t" looks like Latin "m", and "sh" looks like upside-down "m".

But in cursive, all these distinctions are lost, the only distinction left is the number of vertical bars (two for "i" and "p", three for "sh" and "t"). And there are no boundaries between letters either, so e.g. in a word "кипишит" ([3rd person] is making a fuss), you just get, depending on the writing style, "к" + basically a very long Latin "m" with 14 vertical bars. Good luck with even figuring out how many letters are in these 14 bars!

@LinHead Im letzten Teil stimme ich dir zu. Was aber hier sehr oft untergeht: diese Vorgehensweise ist auch dort komplett unerhört, nie dagewesen & zumindest in Teilen auch nicht legal. Wer hinhört, weiß ja, dass auch Merz für hier schon Sachen plant, die mindestens nicht grundgesetzkonform sind. Das Recht schützt nur im Rechtsstaat - wenn man den wegschmeißt (wie in den USA wohl passiert), ist es nichts mehr wert. DAS muss hier verstanden werden, und zwar in den nächsten 3 Tagen.

Erlaube mir die sanfte Korrektur: Statt „diese Menschen verstehen nicht…“ müssten wir uns der bitteren Tatsache stellen: Viele Menschen wollen nicht verstehen!

The asteroid posing the greatest threat of collision is called 2024 YR₄. Today the probability that it hits the Earth on December 22nd, 2032 went up from 2.6% to 3.1%.

It's 55 meters across, and the impact would release energy equal to an 7.8-megaton bomb.

It's news like this that makes me keep following @dpiponi.

Its threat level is 3 on the Torino scale, which means:

"A close encounter, meriting attention by astronomers. Current calculations give a 1% or greater chance of collision capable of 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. Most likely, new telescopic observations will lead to reassignment to Level 0. Attention by public and by public officials is merited if the encounter is less than 10 years away."

The possible encounter is less than 10 years away.

2024 YR₄ is the tiny, almost invisible speck standing still in the middle of this picture.
