@inthehands Looks like we had to go even smaller to find anything willing to play a sad tune for them.
But can a tardigrade shed even a single tear for Tesla?

@inthehands Literally it's the Penguin running for office today...

A literal criminal, openly being criminal, yet somehow he convinces people that he's smart and that the good guys are evil.
If someone (I think Robin?) hadn't played a recording of him talking in private about tricking people he probably would have won. That doesn't work today....
@cwebber I've been trying to get this through to people since Trump floated the idea of having his political enemies executed before the election. (Back when every newspaper was repeating over and over that Biden was old and very pointedly ignoring that Trump was practically the same age but showing signs of bad dementia in comparison.)
ICE is essentially a gestapo. They can grab anyone off the streets, bypassing due process. You don't have to be an immigrant even. You don't get to show ID.
@inthehands It's also the definition of psychopathy.
@carstenfranke @inthehands I'm given to understand that emergency personnel actually had trouble breaking through the glass on at least one occasion. So even this may not be good enough. They don't really design them to meet safety standards, just to satisfy Musk's desperate need to be a cyberpunk villain, so they kind of skipped over a lot of stuff like finding the right balance on parts like the glass.
@inthehands Won't it get overcooked that way though?
@evan At first I was sort of inclined to think maybe just maybe they at least knew about the E2EE, but the more I think about what you just said the more I think you're right...
They really just used it so it could illegally delete their messages for them didn't they?
@Doreen32128 @Bellison22 Honestly I doubt many of these are former conservatives (and MAGA will probably never admit they were wrong.) There are really just that many people on the left who want to see change.
Which to me is significant in the fact that this is a good reminder of how desperately the established democrats (who basically are conservatives in disguise anyway) have completely lost the left. AOC and Bernie are what real democrats look like, and people know it.
@Nonilex The GOP has been playing the right for fools for decades now. They've been working on those lines that convince people who think only of their own hate for others they never met and don't know for so long now that they have it down to a science. In truth the number of people who cheat those systems, just like the number of "illegal" immigrants who commit major crimes is actually shockingly low, but these people think there are whole crime rings formed around this stuff.
@vij I truly hate that I have to filter the name "Elmo" because people have arbitrarily decided to steal the name of a beloved and good-hearted character to represent one of the worst and most destructive nazis in recent times.
@dalias I feel like most modern cars seriously need third party open firmware replacements, but if any single one needed to be singled out above all others it is absolutely and unequivocally the Tesla line.
@georgetakei His only business tactic is the refusal to pay debts. If you have unlimited money, then you can keep anything afloat.
Of course eventually banks got tired of loaning money they knew would never be repaid and he had to find... "other" sources...
@futurebird Not to mention they generally at least were less evil. Not to say they weren't plenty evil enough, but geez what a world of difference. Not even in the same universe as people we're getting now like Musk.
@kellylepo I'm sorry to go completely off topic, but I just really really want to thank you for actually wearing a mask. (And a good one at that.)
Two thumbs up right back at you.
👍 👍
What the-
I only have two left hands it seems. Oh well.
@steter @HamonWry To be clear, while Russia owns the Republican party, the Republican party is still built on its own greed and utter disdain for all but the rich. Russia merely took advantage of that.
@GottaLaff He's moving them back to Mar-a-lago so enemy spies can get easy access to them as long as they pay the entrance fee isn't he?
If one would just sneak in without paying this would stop in a hurry, but as it is, America sells for the cost of a room fee.
@inthehands Fair enough. Trump was backing down on his earlier BS (even pretending he didn't call Zelenskyy a dictator) because he wanted the deal, but in the end Trump was never a leader. He has always been a follower so easily led around by the nose and Project 2025 backs Russia 100%.
@Gargron The best part of this is part of the way through I moved my mouse to the right
and then the cat's head turns towards it at that *exact* moment.
I guess fun coincidences do still exist.
@inthehands (I was agreeing with you...)
I don't generally accept autofollows. Try talking to me.I keep hoping to use the social networks for something else. I'd really love to talk about games, music, etc etc. But somehow it always turns political. Don't follow me if you don't want to see potentially either or completely at random. Also, this isn't Facebook, so please don't click follow simply because I appeared on your feed one time.
