PeerTube literally said themselves that they do not think of themselves as competition for YouTube. "Alternative" does not always equate "in competition with". Some people just don't understand that.

Taking a dump after you get out of the shower feels like a defeat somehow.

We found our very old cat crying at the bottom of the stairs to go up to the bedroom. Something she hasn't done in a very long time.

The problem is she’s too old and fragile to be left up on the bed by herself. So I volunteered to hang out with her on the bed even though it's only 2:45pm.

She’s given us a lot of love throughout her life. I can spend some time giving it back to her.

I think today I'm going to see how many followers I can lose, then get back, then lose again because they realized that I'm not @Alice

I would love to dump Google 100% but considering they're my ISP and there aren't really any good choices for ISP's in the area, and considering my girlfriend needs a reliable ISP for the three days a week she works from home, it's just not a possibility.

The only thing I use Gmail for is spam, but I should dump those soon as well.

And until we get some light bulbs that work with Siri, our Google Home devices will have to wait to be replaced. (we have 2)

Ungoogleing is a pain.

Don’t make your instance owner have to beg you to help them keep the service you are using running.

That includes all of the Fedi services you use. Mastodon, Pixelfed, PeerTube, Lemmy, etc..

Every little bit helps. If you can only give $2 a month, then that’s $2 more they can use to help provide the service to those who can’t even afford $2 a month.

If this is truly “the people‘s social media“ then we should all do our part to make sure that it isn't a burden to those that provide it for us
