@tankgrrl Yeah, I got off there when I learned about the whole Joe Rogan antivax thing they were giving millions of dollars to. I *had* thought most people were doing that too, but I got really disappointed about a year ago when I discovered that almost everyone had stopped boycotting them almost immediately. Mostly I listen on youtube (not that Google's much better) and buy FLAC files more or less direct from the artist if they have them available.

This must be drilled into freshmen congresspeople so hard that they start believing that everyone follows the same playbook and become confused when they don't. Even if we ignore the environmental and ethical concerns (which we shouldn't), AI isn't even good at most of the the purposes they're pushing for it to be used. AI seems best at providing fuzzy answers to vague questions, not truthful answers to specific questions.
