With the DNC starting tomorrow, I took note of one glaring aspect. Both parties traditionally feature former presidents from their party as a speaker endorsing the candidate, and the DNC continues that with Clinton and Obama as featured speakers along with Biden. Conspicuous by their absence at the RNC was the previous republican president or vice presidents, all of whom are still alive.

Speaks volumes on the state of the republican party.

@CarlG @GreenFire @dougiec3 @Wileymiller @BruceMirken Really, though, those reporters should be afraid of losing their audience. Someone should make a list of every reporter that gave Trump a softball interview, didn't press for any answer or call him out on bullshit. Then someone should make a browser add-on that detects whether an article is written by someone on that list and blocks it.

@GreenFire @dougiec3 @Wileymiller @BruceMirken Trump's lack of support among his own cabinet has been in the news, but why isn't he asked directly about that in interviews? Or about his own VP rejecting him?

(The question is rhetorical - Trump overwhelmingly appears only on friendly networks, and at press conferences, the reporters who work for the billionaire media are afraid of losing access if they ask tough questions).

They're so deep that the deep state ended up being in Trump's cabinet according to him. He's such a whiny loser of a clown.

Only four out of his forty-four cabinet members support Trump having a second term.

(that number should be disqualifying in itself imo, 44 is too many cabinet members to have gone through to indicate competence)

That news about Trump's lack of support from his former appointees has been in the news from time to time, usually in a story about John Bolton or John Kelly. I remember even reading a story about the overall lack of support by his formers, but it's been a while.

Other than Palin, does Trump even have the support of any prior GOP presidential or VP candidates?

I don't think so. It should be major news that most of Trump's cabinet secretaries (i.e. those who have actually worked with him in government) and virtually all former GOP standard-bearers (i.e. those who represent the party traditions) don't support him.

Plus, since Americans have chosen a Republican POTUS so rarely in the last decades that they don't even have many FPOTUS to choose from either.

Well, there's 3 former VP's in the republican party who could have been speakers at the RNC...Quayle, Cheney and Pence, all no-shows.

"W" should be outraged by Trump and endorsing Harris, but he's as much of a coward as those who have fallen in with T****. Dick Cheney has at least spoken out against him.
