@WarnerCrocker cross posting Apps have been around for broadcasting one way informational posts (I think android has had more) it is just that some social platforms included are newer, so, new apps, iOS anyway.

I think it might be Tapestry that is attempting the interactive seamless fusion I desire. It may still be a work in progress however. It was kickstarted.

@WarnerCrocker I find the notion attractive because I feel I tend not to give enough attention as a consumer to the other platform(s) and would not mind equalizing my exposure. In other words, FOMO.

@WarnerCrocker does it seem to unify your timeline where you are interacting with multiple platforms quite naturally without a hitch?

Keep in mind this would differ from broadcasting the same post to multiple platforms, which is a simpler ‘problem’ and something I have no need of, unless I really want a response to a question.

I think some of them
had not even been paying attention to their Twitter feed in some cases neglected before the musk purchase.

If not being personally attacked, and filters in place, they may not have noticed the water boiling, it wasn’t difficult to ignore until musk shanghaied notifications into a useless propaganda channel.

But I think it is more about sudden awareness of BlueSky as a thing at all, by whatever means.

@WarnerCrocker Sometimes the storytelling may intentionally hang on the lack of clarity or ambiguity, as if it were something like Coppola’s The Conversation, but otherwise, maybe don’t make the audience work too much.

I have friends who leave a film thinking actions supported and inferred by dialog didn’t happen because they didn’t see it on screen. I haven’t point out that logically that indeed did happen in the story, as the characters clearly and truthfully referenced it.

@WarnerCrocker I have a confession to make- I have watched more Hollywood films via Apple TV+ that their original content. Perhaps it doesn’t do a thing with outside films, although one might hope it would. Some clarifying techniques depend on certain habits of sound design anyway.

Of course even with surround channels I think most directors could make dialog clear if they wanted to, wherever their film is watched.

@WarnerCrocker my bet even with tweaking out dialog with modern techniques like neural engines and such, that there are still some films that would give it a hard time.

Have you tried it with any Christopher Nolan films, which have quite a bad reputation for bearable dialog?

The sad part, even if they do notice results not matching their expectations, they will not learn that the shot in their foot was their own.

Buying it and observing it are two different things.

People have argued for a higher level of discourse all along, not stooping to the juvenile name calling, and the first thing the opposition seems to notice is ‘weird’.

If people were sensible, much of the last 8 years would have never happened.

Of course some earlier nudging starting such behavior were hordes searching for those keywords to mob up and harass, so the nicknames kept shifting. Temporary reprieve from active harassment.

Corollary: those trying to filter all mention of him from their timeline cannot, because the nicknames still get through. The nicknames fool no one but they might throw a bot off the trail.

In the late ‘oughts, Apple Store used to sell Tom Tom Go. From the way the clerk got excited and curious, one got a strong suspicion there was inside talk of steering Apple Maps more in the direction of Turn by Turn directions.

I still prefer a visual overview, a planned known path. I don’t need the granularity in familiar areas, and will only ‘follow the voice’ or watch vibration, in totally unknown areas, often to quite odd adventures.
