My timeline is a cautionary tale. How are social media companies going to check if their customers are over 16 without "carding" everyone? And what protections will there be that the identity data they capture isn't left somewhere that can be captured by even worse actors?

36 years ago today, I lived in Calgary. My daughter was 2, with every bit of potential to do whatever she wanted with her life. My partner was a woman working in a non-traditional job -- one which occasionally found her pissing off some misogynist wingnut. My sister was an engineer.

And these 14 women were students, preparing to do things that would change the world. Until they were murdered by someone who believed they shouldn't be allowed to do that.

@skinnylatte I love that image! The sky bubbles go well with the decoration on the vw van. Is the image stable? Which chemical did you replace with detergent? (Can't have been the developer.... stop bath? )

@FlashMobOfOne Are the apartments being marketed on short term occupancy sites like Airbnb or VRBO? That is what is messing up the rental market in lots of cities.
