@paul No, because AP is only used for server to server communication, not server to client. A web browser is always a client.
AP technically does allow for server to client but most apps have found it easier to use their own API for that and reserve AP for federation only.

@LilHulkQ I googled the CEOs of CNN and ABC combined with "trump donor" and found nothing.
Can you share your sources?

@steely_glint @aral @joelving @jenniferplusplus Yeah, "they" is just objectively better grammar in that sentence. This whole thing is bizarre.

@KeithDJohnson Interesting!
Kinda small sample size, unfortunately. Also when they divide up the 34 subjects into age cohorts and the proceed to do all sorts of maths on those cohorts I feel doubtful but dont have the stats knowledge to substantiate that.

I want to love #Codeberg but the site is down way way too often. If I create my own #Forgejo instance would it be more reliable or less?
Is the instability due to the software or just because too many people use it?

@rayotron You might be interested to try the low bandwidth mode of https://PieFed.social. It's a Lemmy-compatible fediverse project.
Just ensure you have the low bandwidth checkbox ticked when logging in.

@evanprodromou I've just read the book, it's awesome. Wish I had it 12 months ago!
I was a bit surprised to see Group actors described as a way to clump people as Lemmy, Mbin and PieFed use it as a way to categorise *posts*.
https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/fep/1b12/fep-1b12.md
I would have thought Organisation was for clumps of people?
It's a very small thing.
Amazing work, thank you!

@seachanger The hard part of "capitalist planetary sovereignty" is the "planetary" bit. Basically nation-states would be agreeing to give up some sovereignty to a UN-like structure. It's not a given that they will succeed at that, look at the useless COP process.
2 other alternatives the author calls "Climate Mao" & "Climate Bohemoth" which are *not great* either. There is a fourth which so far the author is being coy about (I'm less than halfway through).

@seachanger Yup that is one of the 4 alternatives the book explores (probably the most likely one).

@seachanger Yes, I'm reading a mind-blowing book that goes into a LOT of depth on what climate change might do to democracy.
"Climate Levathian", if you want to look it up.
