   @rayotron You might be interested to try the low bandwidth mode of https://PieFed.social. It's a Lemmy-compatible fediverse project.

   Just ensure you have the low bandwidth checkbox ticked when logging in.

     I can afford 5 Gb of internet data per month. I can use 164 Mb of data per day which can be gone in only 10 minutes on Mastodon. I've begun to use a browser extension which blocks images and videos. I browse with text only as the sightless do. I perceive Mastodon differently. This is good.

     ps I live sad Neo Nazi North Idaho. Today is the first Juneteenth I'm embracing. Juneteenth! Fuck yeah!
