Personal opinion from my time thinking about a generalised intent system (I was following in androids footsteps) is to focus the name on the actions you are trying to do, it's way way easier to conceptualise for people and it's also way less controversial and it's easier to get around all the bikessheading.

@pfefferle @andypiper I think I've added content negotiation and also the link rel alternate and it's not changed anything. I'll try and hop back on to it this weekend.... I don't actually like how I've got /actor and not a name etc.

Any ActivityPub and Mastodon experts out there?

Why might a link to a profile like @blog send a user to the web site vs show it in the profile pane in Mastodon?

@andypiper @blog No it's not a mastodon profile. I naively thought any profile on the ActivityPub "network" would appear... It does if I search for the profile url directly in mastodon.

@andypiper @blog does mastodon generate it that way from configuration discovered via webfinger?

@feld I dunno, still thinking. Each client could have an inbox (proxied somehow) that would get notifications for people or feeds they want to follow... Maybe even have an outbox (again magically proxied somehow) that could be shared too or bookmarked.

Are there any browsers with ActivityPub directly integrated?

@blaine when I was working on Web Intents, I so wanted to be in the spec space. But I really struggled for similar reasons to what you mentioned.
