    @Sherri_Ingrey @Flick As an old man I've been a recipient of NHS care -good care- and been grateful for it, but I do know the weight of demand for its services is huge, and if you don't want to wait for your operation go private! A good friend today told me how she had been fiercely shouted at by a neighbour because she and her husband hadn't 'gone private' to deal with his chronic joint problems, an alternative that would have cost them tens of thousands. Why would anyone presume that those kind of resources are available to most of us?
