@HebrideanHecate This nonsense could have been stopped in its tracks if the culture secretary had agreed with them that the British Museum was inherently racist and shut it down immediately, leaving them with no job. Same with the university grifters; shut down the department or university. And when the other staff (cleaners etc) complain, tell them which academic prompted it to happen. Some people need to be careful what they wish for. It tends to concentrate the mind.
@Flick The purpose was never to bring down bills. The purpose was to increase bills and tell us that it's our fault for wanting to cook, heat our houses and not sit in the dark.
@Biff@HebrideanHecate@Flick The Mayor of London does something similar about the ULEZ by referencing a child who died of pollution. Evoking the emotional response makes it harder to criticise the cause.
@Fullycaffeinated@Flick Yes, but it: a) showed what good people they were b) inflated the figures c) allowed the government to see at a glance who wanted to be controlled d) provided data to be used for . . . ? I'm not shocked at all. People were begging to be told what to do, say and think. Thinking can be hard work, so a lot of people outsource it. They also like to think they are being kept safe, even if it's an illusion.
@womenreadwomen Only a man who watches porn would think this is a sex-test. Perhaps he finds it difficult to masturbate with his female penis to the thought of a cheek swab.
@TriptychTwinsRidesAgain These people never have real jobs, do they? We never hear of the head of a charity who was a dry-cleaner or fixed the roads or ran a small shop.
@BILLSan345@AnungIkwe The introduction of the College of Policing and bringing in the NHCIs recording is a good point. This too is a grift and a very lucrative one.
P*ssing off the government one post at a time. Definitely a dinosaur. Idiots, bores and virtue signallers need not apply. Whatever your cult is, I don't do it. Clean out of fucks to give.
