    @brendamccann If she did this because of the effects of drugs, then this is another line of defence. If the drugs had side effects that were not specified then the fault lies with the drug company. If the effects were know and she was prescribed them without due diligence, then the fault lies with the doctors. That she was left in such a position with children she was unable to care for is egregious.
    We see how quickly the state seeks to intervene if a parent refuses to affirm their child's new gender.

    @brendamccann I am very disturbed by the idea that we should actively support some who kill their children, male or feamle. Those who do deserve a defence in court (as do we all) but not special treatment. If their defence involves mitigating circumstances then these should be dealt with as part of the defence and sentencing.
    If judges are applying the law unequally then the problem lies with the judges and should be addressed.

    @HebrideanHecate @flick We all know that there is too much processed food that's part of of society. We can argue about the reasons, but there's more than in my grandparents' day. They ate fresh, local, and prepared it themselves.
    Wanting to revisit this is a noble idea, but not going to be achieved overnight.
    A ever, this noble idea is nothing more than yet another social engineering project, beloved of bureaucrats and politicos who take great pleasure in micro-managing every aspect of our lives. What starts as wouldn't it be good if our children ate fresh, healthy, less-processed food will rapidly turn into you didn't eat all your folic acid-enhanced tofu chapati so you have been placed on a hate-crime list of far-right activists, will have a 7pm curfew this week, and will be obliged to attend training: Lunch is political - understanding health, diversity, inclusion and climate crisis through food.
    And how they're going to square this with fat-shaming and critical social justice will be interesting to watch. Or will the return to *healthy* only apply to certain groups?

    @HebrideanHecate Zack is just playing the game of parliamentary democracy to its ultimate goal. Any party in a democracy will end up with a manifesto that offers a dip in the public purse for its support.
    Vote for me and I'll give you other people's money.
    There are so many *socialists* and *communists* who hate those who have inherited and/or earned their own money, but actively support those who take from the public purse. I'm never entirely sure if they don't know where the money in the public purse comes from or they do know but are happy to bring about financial collapse so the globalists can take over.
