I'm seeing a lot of good names for the DOGE fuckers. Two that pop up in my brain now (which I've seen posted, NEITHER are my invention):
- Traitor Tots
- Incel Clown Posse
Feel free to add on!

Maybe younger, but Gen X just got a LOT more polarized: right-leaning leaned further right, left-leaning leaned further left, and those in the middle jumped one way or the other depending on $ISSUE/$BELIEF/$ETC.
Lotsa GenX right-leaners drank too much it-was-all-Jimmy-Carter's-fault kool-aid when they were in their formative years. Lotsa GenX left-leaners saw how badly AIDS was handled, and that the Cold War ending didn't make right-leaners just take the fucking win.
Where's that meme again? Ah yes.
It was a Black Trans Woman who started Stonewall. People who don't know that, well... 🤷♂️
How much of right now is the 1850s instead of the 1930s?

Following up to remind folks that White Supremacy and Patriarchy are helluva good drugs, and that combined they are, indeed, America's Speedball.

I saw "not all" mentioned and every time I see "not all" I need to remind folks that "enough" is often a lot less than "all" but is still enough to Be A Big Problem. I don't believe "all men" but strongly believe "enough men". I don't believe ACAB but I do believe ECAB. Not all Americans but certainly enough Americans!
This is where I recommend "The Bright Ages" by Gabriele and Perry
I hear this in Groucho's voice...
I used to use two space a long time ago; because I learned two-space Pascal first, and because emacs defaulted to two space in C-mode.
Oh I agree with you... working at Sun got me on the tab train.
I'm just trying to provide some background on why folks might do it.
If anyone has this, it's @alecm , who introduced me to that phrase.
So pwait(1), my personal favorite, was there the whole time... thanks for the glimpse of the past.
pgrep & pkill got brought up during Solaris 2.6, as part of a "get shit booting faster" effort. Lots of `ps -ef | grep....` pipelines in those < 2.6 init scripts.
I remember being pleased learning about it.
I believe people are already doing Just That (TM). Here's an evidentiary picture:
Hey @dangillmor Did you see this?
Today is a good day for me to have my NAT/router in an #illumos zone, where a reboot takes (checks stopwatch) mere single-digit seconds.
TFW you were born just barely pre-epoch... I'll be 68-and-change when the Y2038 event happens.

He was the first "elder statesman" I had actual interactions & discussions with. I found some corner-case bugs while bringing up the NRL IPv6 & IPsec code while he was at BSDI.
