I'm getting kind of tired of the endless election pontification, especially from people who don't really reflect the electorate. We're not overly complicated people. What if the whole things is that Trump sent everyone checks when he was president? What if they just want to get paid? What if it's that simple?

And frankly it's tracking, the Republic going down in graft and mass corruption while politicians promise payments to the voters in exchange for power, until one more venal guy just takes over and gets killed.
What about that does not look incredibly likely? We've already got the right style of buildings in the capital, practically like someone knew all along.

The good news is the dark ages were kind of nicer to live through, people lived longer and more peaceful lives.
