I deleted my Facebook account ages ago (and therefore also Instagram), and more recently Twitter as well. I’ve eliminated Google from my life with the exception of Gmail and YouTube.i do not sign up for any websites or services using SSO. I do not use Chrome or any Chromium-based web browsers and I use ad blockers to virtually eliminate all advertising and most tracking from my web activity. I use Archive.is to break through paywalls.

I voted for Biden 2.0 (Harris) as well. But we're long past the point where we should be scolding voters for the Democratic Party's failures and betrayals. We need drastic measures to break up that corrupt gerontocracy or replace it with a real people's movement, and there's no place in that movement for DNC apologists, certainly not in any leadership roles.

I happily pay for content when it’s offered at a fair price and accessible in a convenient and distraction-free format.

Apple TV+ is already dancing on the edge of that value proposition (I get it for free with TMobile) with their UX that is 90% ads for its own content. The slightest tweak of their enshittification dial and I will drop them as I’ve done all the others. 🏴☠️

I’ve developed a zero tolerance for ads. I deleted Facebook ages ago and today I refuse to use Betflix and Prime Video—even for free—because of their forced ads.

If there were any content in those sights I considered “must watch” (there aren’t), I’d just pirate the fuck out of them.
