@mtechman It is easy to sign up for a google account with any email. You don't need gmail. I do this. You could have an account just for that phone, if you want, or, install Aurora from F-Droid and get Play apps anonymously. We have a tablet we do this with. It's for the kids, with homework apps and stuff. no google acct.

The interesting part of a #metaverse to me is how to share live experiences, and for sure, Fedi is doing that to some degree.

I can imagine Fedi slowly morphing into something more immersive. EG broadly supporting live streams and p2p bi-directional sockets; engaging with the capabilities of multiple instances through a common visual paradigm; avatars becoming more engaging than little images…

could the #Fediverse become a #metaverse?
