What an incredibly asshole thing to do.

@libreoffice the release notes just don't end! Well done everyone!
back to some videos with #kdenlive and it has improved a lot since I touched it last year!
I'm making coding tutorials for youtube and kdenlive has everything you'd need.
The workflow combined with KDE's Spectacle is very pleasant: screencapture -> import clip -> place and right click transform to compose the view.
The stability improvements are very noticeable as well. I've had some crashes last year but not this time around!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Kdenlive
@tokyo_0 @cmdr_nova I really fail to follow what you're saying here. If you could articulate yourself better maybe this conversion would be going somewhere 🙄
@tokyo_0 @cmdr_nova not even remotely the same thing. Shit posts do not equate to personal photos.
@cmdr_nova hot take: that's totally fine.
The whole point of fediverse is to be public and accessible to everyone not only the people who own the keys.
This is the price you pay as part of the architecture as there's a clear dichotomy of public-v-private data. You can't have both and we're choosing public.
@clacke I find these tasks incredibly rewarding too to the point where I'm running our internal docs now 🫣
@indubitablyodin too many hashtags 🫣
@nixCraft why do people keep sharing this. Web traffic being automated does NOT mean dead internet bots.
It's just web scrapers and normal automation - do we imply that web shouldn't be automated? Am I supposed to do manual labor at all times and write down page results with pen and paper or smt?
Lazy, misleading journalism 🙄
@fury999io believe it or not that's legitimate and perfectly legal :)
@ntnsndr @mallory there's some historical precedence here though. XMPP was straight up murdered by Meta and co.
I'm quite optimistic but I think being afraid that Meta will ruin the fediverse for everyone is very much a real possibility.
@hongminhee I've used "tslog" before and it was alright. Though it didn't work with Deno or Bun few months ago. Maybe it's supported now.
@trevorflowers since college my dream was to work on FOSS but it never materialized as I had to pay bills somehow. If I had UBI it most certainly would have become a reality as I all I needed is some eggs, ramen and a laptop.
I trully believe UBI would be the biggest positive societal shift since the internet. That extra safety net is just so invaluable for human creativity!
@dansup @pixelfed means they're afraid!
Have you noticed that fediverse talk gets absolutely no engagement on Threads despite Threads promising to integrate itself with it in the near future. I refuse to believe an average Joe is not interested in decentralization when average Threads commenter is so bent on politics.
Of course it's impossible to test algo timelines unfortunately so we'll never know.
@clacke good luck with your fitness journey!
tbh I still hate working out and I think it's mostly dumb but it's a small price to pay for the benefits it provides.
It trully feels like our bodies just need physical engagement as an evolutionary relic and the most viable strategy is to just do the work, at least for now.
Podcasts and audiobooks are a life saver tho! Ologies with Alie Ward is my gym jam every time and it's amazing.
@clacke You can never go wrong with swimming!
Though generally the best exercise is the one you can stick to so explore around for something you can easily integrate.
Personally the only way I can stick to gym is by forfeiting results and goals and just accepting that it's just a sacrifice to the ancient gods so they allow me to live.
Also ppl undestimate how much calories idle muscles burn so building up also extends your calorie budget :)
This baby #capybara is making rounds on the internet and I can't resist reposting it 😌
@roadriverrail @arstechnica I'm not even putting a tinfoil hat but 99% of all copyright is owned by mega corporations that are literally in lawsuits with generative AI (like gettyimages) and suddenly there's a trend of "protecting the little guys" from copyright theft?
Generative AI is by far the biggest disruption to the copyright industry. Like nothing ever came as close to breaking it as AI is rn. The whole industry is shitty pants and astroturf is full force. You are are falling for it tbh
@roadriverrail @arstechnica the way people got captured by copyright propaganda so quickly is trully scary.
