That's amazingly detailed compared to the inside of my head.

I mean, I *conceptualize* my memory as computer files and fuzzy search, but I don't *visualize* it that way. When I try to remember something, I don't really SEE anything, in my mind's eye or even in front of my actual eyes, I just have a squishy feeling of rummaging around and then the memory pops up or doesn't.

I do have a hidden music player, though. That's where earworms come from. 😂

Yes, I'm beginning to see that.

Sometimes I think about how complex the human brain is, and I wonder why it doesn't go wrong more often. (Usually pondering my own depressive disorder.)

This conversation is making me realize that there are also a mind boggling number of different ways for it to go RIGHT. If, as a species, we could get past our tendency to fear The Other, we could open up a vast resource of neurodiversity.

When you 'see' each other, do you each look like the shared body? (When I see other people in my mind's eye, they look like WHO they are to me, which can be quite different from what their body looks like -- if that makes sense.)

Should I learn toki pona?

I can speak a tiny bit of German, and I learned halfway decent Esperanto in grad school but have forgotten most of it. I've lived in the US for 20+ years and feel bad that I don't speak Spanish by now.

So should I just pick a language and work on it (German, E-o, Spanish), or indulge my curiosity about a 120-word conlang?

Doing poorly: a malignant universe has created not just me but an Everything Else designed to make me miserable. The thin thread of hope that holds me to existence is the idea that this universe may have a foot, and I may be its Lego.
