@mcc I find it hard to function in a world where good things just disappear and are replaced by worse things, without seemingly anyone noticing or caring.

@mcc I did an internship in a recording studio where I learned one day they had five (5) identical vacuum cleaners.

I asked what's up with this and the owner said "I did the research, these are the best vacuum cleaners, so I bought five which should last me a lifetime without ever having look into it again or worry they stop making these."

I thought it was a bit wacky at the time, but I understand it more now.

@HauntedOwlbear yeah! We were in the south, near St Tropez, in a cabin on the beach. Got a bit of a tan to last us through the winter hopefully.

In Jurassic Park (the book) they talk about the Cray X-MP supercomputer, so of course I looked it up.

It was released in 1982, featured among other things 128 MB RAM, up to 38 GB of storage and 4 CPUs running at about 100 MHz.

It was the most powerful computer in the world up until 1985 and cost about 15 million dollars.

Of course nowadays your phone is more capable than this beast.

Did you know I made music for the hit game My Summer Car under the name "Nerk"? I did!

The game is set in the 90s, so invented this 90s-sounding grunge band called Nerk and recorded a couple of tracks for it.
