@kaia @mangeurdenuage Honestly? I don't know what's more expensive. Four sports cars or a property large enough to sustain yourself.

Felix Urbasik (fell@ma.fellr.net)'s status on Sunday, 17-Dec-2023 22:19:48 JST Felix Urbasik It appears that a Nintendo Switch will only charge at 0.5 A if it's not plugged in to a 15 V charger. The charger is definitely capable of 1.5 A or more. Does that sound right?

It seems like it's only negotiating the higher current when the kernel is active. Interesting.

Felix Urbasik (fell@ma.fellr.net)'s status on Friday, 10-Nov-2023 16:44:48 JST Felix Urbasik On this day, 85 years ago, the "Night of Broken Glass" happened in Germany. A violent riot against jews, basically kicking off all the horrible nazi shit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht
And now, in 2023, Germany is full of migrants openly expressing their hatred towards jews as if nothing has ever changed.
That actually kind of hits me a bit. For years and years in school, we were educated over and over, again and again about jews and nazis and everything to ensure such a thing like nazi Germany would never happen again. To be open and friendly towards all people, no matter where they are from. And now, it's actually kind of ironic that the very same people we where taught to welcome are now here among us, still hating jews...

Felix Urbasik (fell@ma.fellr.net)'s status on Friday, 27-Oct-2023 17:16:29 JST Felix Urbasik @kaia It's a multiplayer dice roller for playing tabletop games online. I'll release the source code once it's in a usable state.
I made the exact same thing in Unity before, but since Unity is an evil corporation now, and I hate C# anyways, I decided to remake it in Godot before adding more features.

Felix Urbasik (fell@ma.fellr.net)'s status on Friday, 27-Oct-2023 17:08:52 JST Felix Urbasik Guys, it happened. :drgn_flat_sob:
Despite me being an absolute performance addict beyond reason, I have decided not to write my dice roller entirely in C++, for now. At least not until Godot 4.2 comes out, which brings hot-reloading to GDExtension.
GDScript is slow, and I really hate wasting people's CPU cycles, but prototyping the game logic is just so much quicker because it's right in the editor and changes are applied immediately.
I am also certain that I will be able to convert GDScript to GDExtension C++ fairly easily, because all I do is call engine functions, basically. It's just a matter of translating the syntax.
Last but not least, It would make a nice case study to directly compare the same implementations in GDScript and GDExtension C++.

- loads in under 200ms
- 132 KB transferred
- works without #JavaScript
- uses system font and native controls
- still looks and feels goodWell done, @hackerboards!
My only gripe is that it doesn't respect `prefers-color-scheme` of the browser.

Now, with bandwidths caught up, it's actually faster to just send the entire HTML and be done with it.

2. It relies on the sturdiness of the seat post, which is usually pretty wonky in cheaper bicycles.
3. It would become dirty extremely quickly ride and probably fail because of mud and stones clogging up the mechanism. -
