    @zerofox @briellebouquet initially the anti-scientology protests started as separate efforts in the usual Anonymous hangout forums (Something Awful and others) but within about a month a dedicated forum board for the effort was founded by certain nameless volunteers ("Enturbulation") which served as a focal point for the various disparate clusters to coordinate efforts and share resources across the globe.

    Maybe this sort of a coordination is what's missing?

    Tho another crucial factor was the "No Leaders" ideal Anonymous had at the time which will not be present with these group of protestors because it's not part of their cultural language. I'm not sure of that's good or bad in this case. Probably bad because the authorities will seek to vilify the protestors and finding and vilifying the leaders is the most obvious tactic - I'd talk more about that but I don't want to digress from the topic.

    Windows 11 is so unstable that we're seriously considering switching to Mac at the office.

    (Linux is a non-option since we're basically married to MS-Outlook)

    @briellebouquet @zerofox back in 2008 Anonymous was able to pull a globally distributed protest against Scientology with no leadership. Everyone collaborated over forums to chip into the bigger goal of showing up and protesting.

    I'm not sure if that was thanks to the forum culture of the time or because of a certain zeitgeist that came and gone but they did prove that a massive leader less movement was possible when there's a communication platform and people's opinions are aligned.
