The thing that America has to understand about public transportation is that it doesn't mean you can't use a car. It just means that people who don't want to, or can't, don't have to, and still get to where they need to go.

The objective is to increase opportunities and efficiency by providing variety, rather than forcing a singular option on a population because of a dominant socioeconomic culture.

Cars are hella useful, because sometimes you need to go somewhere a train or bus doesn't go, and even if you did take one close to it, the walk would be too long, and there's nobody to drive you there (or maybe you don't wanna taxi there).
Pubtrans is most useful for the masses who need to go somewhere popular, like a workplace, a restaurant, or a tourist attraction.
