At one point I wanted to call my yt channel Sophist Project cuz the root just means knowledge, but then I found out this particular form of the word ended up referring to people who make deceptive arguments so I bailed on that idea.

Has anyone ever paid money to use a pirate site?
Like is that a thing that's easy to do?

I know these sites already dodge the law so I dunno if that would complicate things.
I started using a pirate site for anime that gives you an option to turn ads off and it's got a nice UI and whatnot. Yes, I do use adblock, but them having that option tells me they care about the notion.
I have no idea how they're funding it (maybe the owner is just loaded) but if I ask about a donation option, am I gonna be met with a Paypal link or a "we can't do that cuz reasons".

Ok I just checked my site's cert. It's valid for 3 months, so I guess I have some auto renew thing, prolly courtesy of the web host I pay for.
