@Rasp I meant more the people that she works for. Tired of being an office worker with an unreasonable boss? Now you can be a soldier in the middle of a war with an unreasonable boss!
@Rasp Yeah that's what I figured. Before this chat, I assumed it was a minor embellishment, but now I guess that's the anime producers leaning into it more than they should've. Incompetent or warmonger, place your bets.
Current specs: 256gb drive, 8gb ram, i5-6300U If I were to get a laptop upgrade that at least doubled the drive size and kept the screen at or under 14", what would you recommend? I found a few suggestions on productchart but also wanted to ask the computer nerds. I think that's all the details I care about (I'd also like to spend under $300 but I'll consider higher if it's really good).
@Rasp "The Saga of Tanya the Evil" Guess they were taking a few more creative liberties with that framing than I thought. She definitely comes off as intelligent and resourceful but also a bit... zealous? Aggressively unhinged? Like she's more into her new role in life than most others around her are. Granted, I'm basing this on cultural osmosis exposure. I've never even opened the anime. This is how I've viewed her, and also why I never felt compelled to open it.
@Rasp I know Dragon Maid changes the order of some of the chapters. Back when CR still had comments, half the time people in the Slime Isekai chat would be complaining about how there was too much talking and not enough fighting, forgetting that it's a wordbuilding story, not a fighting story. Maybe Tanya's is similar?
