@alex I have a little different perspective on that. I don't KNOW any of this. It's just what my muse feeds me. Could be all fiction.
I think we incarnate with a particular set of physical, mental, and psychological traits, with the purpose of playing/learning for a little while. When done, we go back to whatever is outside (God? Soul? Unmanifest personality?), and at some point decide to do it again.
Some of us create whole universes, and act as godhead there.
Some of us are aware enough that we can run multiple incarnations at the same time. Bodies are avatars (as in the movie).

I’m slowly teaching Mammudeck.com all the Rebased features. Got editing and history done today. Next, markdown.
Mammudeck is not on any app stores, but, like Soapbox, it’s a PWA, so you can save it to your Home Screen on mobile, or wrap an app around it, in Brave or other Chromium-based browsers, on the desktop.
Bloody hell. It's 1am. Time to try to sleep a little.
@alex, my new one-user Rebased server is blindingly fast. I suppose a brand new Pleroma install would also be fast, but I'm so happy I reinitialized my world! Thank you.
@alex I did a Soapbox test a month ago, or so, but never did the final step of transferring my existing Pleroma (version 1.0.6) database to it. It's way past time to upgrade, and I think I prefer Soapbox to plain Pleroma (though I haven't tried a newer Pleroma version). The install was easy before. Where do I look for database conversion?
@lain Sorta like some of the danker parts of the Fediverse. Or like the perception of people who join an instance that doesn't match their preferences. The real "public square" has all types, but they mostly behave themselves, because the consequences of misbehavior can be immediate and severe.
@strypey@arinbasu1 By the similarity between source of social.arinbasu.online and gleasonator.com, I'd guess that they're both @alex's Soapbox. They also both display this at the top of their developer's consoles. Heh. Nice, Alex! screenshot.jpg
@alex I haven't put that feature into Mammudeck. Your long post was only two screen-fulls at my regular, fairly large font-size, a pretty easy scroll. Here it is at the smallest font size I could get: screenshot.jpg
@alex@duponin Gee, I was considering adding markdown to post composition in #mammudeck, letting you set it as the default, if your server supports it, which Pleroma does. Will such posts look horrid to Mastodon users?
