   hey man,
   One thing I've found that helped anyone get their platform to everyone and made them use it was the apps.
   people actually not using my site because they're asking why it's not an app.
   I know, for people like you and me, the app is an extra and would be nice to have sometimes. For others, the app is the site and there is no such thing as a site.
   Is there any plan to make an app for rebased? It would be very nice to make something that can actually support all the features of rebased such as birthdays and verify badge?
   
   I know, I shouldn't ask. I should contribute. I've only started learning programming and I'm unable to do such thing ?
   
   Any idea what can be done?

     @ahmad It is an app. You need to teach them to use the PWA. App stores censor. We’ve been banned off Google Play. People are already leaving big tech to join the Fediverse, so they can learn bypass the app store.

     @meso @ahmad This is what Richard Stallman told me to do. However I think apps simply aren’t part of the decentralized future. Websites have become as good as apps. No reason to let a middleman have power over you.

     @meso @ahmad After F-Droid banned our app I talked to Richard Stallman on the phone. He was canceled at that point as well. The Free Software movement is currently pitiful.

     I’m slowly teaching Mammudeck.com all the Rebased features. Got editing and history done today. Next, markdown.
     
     Mammudeck is not on any app stores, but, like Soapbox, it’s a PWA, so you can save it to your Home Screen on mobile, or wrap an app around it, in Brave or other Chromium-based browsers, on the desktop.

     I think it might be easier to decentralize app distribution than to decentralize the web.

     It's not GPLv? programs specifically, they don't allow any free software programs in their appstore - every program must be under a certain kind of proprietary software license.

     You can't just tell them to install fdroid and search for Soapbox.
     
     I think the better solution is just to distribute apks from the official site at that point.
     Sure it won't have auto-updates but that's an issue for later.

     The app isn't just lacking the full support, it also look ugly.
