K-Mart did not die because of its own volition, it was purposefully destroyed by Eddie Lampert who sold out all of the moving parts of Sears and K-Mart and then when the companies withered he sold the real estate. These companies were looted for all of their wealth. The only reason Target became this big is because Sears and K-Mart were destroyed and created market space for them.

You're arguing past what I wrote. The Debt Ceiling prevents Congress from accepting new debt, "which will not be questioned." The Debt Ceiling isn't canceling or repudiating debt, even if the government went into default it wouldn't be "questioning the debt."
That specific portion of the 14th Amendment was assurance that the government wasn't just going to renege on the debt it accrued during the Civil War, and debts it accrued on behalf of the southern states prior to the Civil War. Its also designed to ward off debt jubilees which are a fast track way for a government to destroy its financial credibility.

How would the Supreme Court even begin to rationalize it? The Debt ceiling means Congress refuses to take on more debt, something that is entirely within their powers as outlined in the Constitution. Either the US can address the insane amount of debt and deficit spending it does yearly right now or when the interest payments are so high that it becomes impossible to service. Supreme Court wont screw with such an important and core function of Congress.

There is about 6 terms in Greek for love. Eros is erotic, Agape is like the fondness a teacher has for a student. Philia is for fraternity between a group, then you get the barely known ones like Storge which is love a parent has for their offspring. Philautia which loosely translates to self confidence and appreciation of ones own achievements, though this sometimes is viewed negatively as vanity, then Xenia which is akin to the pleasantness that a restaurant hostess would have to guests of the establishment.
Trying to parse the Bible without understanding some of these terms leaves you confused because you think some of the Apostles and Jesus want to fuck each other when they start talking about how they "love each other."

@alex Impressive, now the Nostr spam bots are tagging individuals on the Fediverse side. Is it possible for the Mostr bridge to shitlist some of the bad relays or is the spam blight affecting all public relays?

That is because its following a relay and an individual instance that is on the relay.

Roku bros, not like this.

Does this still consume characters in the post? In some hellthreads the amount of characters used by Nostr usernames was around 1-2k long.

You're asking whom could pull this off on the Fediverse? DO you know how many schizos inhabit this place? The qualified candidates on the Pleroma side alone is triple digits.

Nostr is flawed as a social network by design until they devise some way to create groups. Its the worst aspects of the Fediverse and the worst aspects of Twitter at the same time. Half your posts don't reach the recipient because they're not on your relay and you're just an individual floating in a sea of other assholes. There is no structure to the whole thing, on the Fediverse people that share interest go to specific instances, on Nostr you're just shouting into the Global timeline with the vague hope someone finds your shit interesting.

There is no solution to it, the entire service is based around the individual, not groups, and a protocol that allows anyone to script new signups and posting.

oh excellent, I was worried that a single entrance would end up getting blocked easily by the pearl clutchers.
What is the hardware requirements for running a relay?

Sounds cool, hopefully that occurs one day and all of the various decentralized stuff communicates with each other.

I don't mean a single point of entry via a bridge. I mean each individual instance will interface with Nostr and any other protocol seamlessly. The (partially intentional) problem with BirdSiteLive was that it was bound by the API limits and read only so Twitter wasn't able to flood the Fediverse. Everyone had to cram onto just a few BSL instances to get news feed accounts or their e-wafiu dripfeed and this caused a lot of problems.

Given you have some practical experience with Nostr now do you think its possible for each Mastodon/Pleroma/Rebased/Akkomo etc instance to have the ability to ingest and communicate with Nostr? Kinda like when oStatus and ActivityPub existed at the same time.

Meh, I think that merge just sat around too long, and only addressed half the issues. Giving everyone admin on the site isn't feasible, but giving every staff staff full access isn't desirable either. The best solution was to make moderating a role based function.
(Admin - All functions) --- (Moderator - Everything but Config) --- (Senior Janitor- Able to remove posts, not see DM) ---- (Janitor - Able to strip attachments)
I always viewed that commit as the first step before a proper role based functionality. Instead everyone sperged out.

@LucasGray @alex I'd sooner have multiple timelines than have shit populating at random across the screen.

I find this far harder to read than the full page. Guess I'm just retarded from the 1990s UI schemes.

I just like it big. I have a standard sized monitor, and my nose isn't pressed to the screen, its a full arm length away so I can scan with my eyes the entire length of the monitor without moving my head.
