     It has to do with relays. We used to follow relays, then decided to opt in for organic federation. Graf runs some other services I think, so things are far different between my services and his.

     We've been getting absolutely hammered with federation today which is why things are a little less snappy (it was nice while it lasted), so this could very well be the reason why you're seeing such old posts come up. We may have to deal with this for several days.

     I like the concept but right now n᠎o᠎s᠎t᠎r isn't giving me updates in real time on my timeline and whatnot. But I hope they can make it more user friendly because I do like the idea of being able to choose from multiple relays instead of just 1 instance, even though I generally don't mind the federation policies of this instance.

     It’s not so much the federation policies of your instance, but just how fractured it is in general. I do get the issue with clients tho, but hopefully that’ll be fixed soon. I heard iris sort of has live tl updates working and is getting new stuff frequently.

     Well from what I can tell the libtards on n᠎o᠎s᠎t᠎r are up to the same bullshit they are up to on the fedi, so the fracturing might only be slightly less bad there. Still, it's nice that the decision is in the hands of the user instead of the admin.
