    @Billy_Hughes @Tony @mitchconner @Humpleupagus @white_male Do you have config access to this device? I thought these were two separate connections that you had for resilience but it looks like you've got these in line so this one should be in bridge mode. That means it shouldn't have worked when you swapped it.

    @Tony Roofing is obviously really tough work, especially in summer, but why do you want to leave the industry altogether if you don't have some sort of valuable skill to fall back on?

    Working in a liquor store might be more dangerous than you think...

    Even if you refuse to accept TEM (and you should) there are giant viruses that exist and can be viewed under a traditional microscope

      Giant virus
      A giant virus, sometimes referred to as a girus, is a very large virus, some of which are larger than typical bacteria. All known giant viruses belong to the phylum Nucleocytoviricota. Description While the exact criteria as defined in the scientific literature vary, giant viruses are generally described as viruses having large, pseudo-icosahedral capsids (200 to 400 nanometers in diameter) that may be surrounded by a thick (approximately 100 nm) layer of filamentous protein fibers. The viruses have large, double-stranded DNA genomes (300 to >1000 kilobasepairs) that encode a large contingent of genes (of the order of 1000 genes). The best characterized giant viruses are the phylogenetically related mimivirus and megavirus, which belong to the family Mimiviridae (aka Megaviridae), and are distinguished by their large capsid diameters. Giant viruses from the deep ocean, terrestrial sources, and human patients contain genes encoding cytochrome P450 (CYP; P450) enzymes. The origin of these P450 genes in giant viruses remains unknown but may have been acquired from an ancient host. The genomes of...

    @cjd @freemayonnaise @jeff @BowsacNoodle This isn't universal. Viruses that evolve to become more transmissible and less (immediately) dangerous become more successful. In some, but not all cases the evolved version crowds out the more dangerous version by providing the infected with some level of immunity to the more deadly version.

    However, Ebola would be an example of a virus that mutates rapidly and is still deadly without treatment. Monkeypox appears to be evolving to become more deadly (lol, eat shit fags). Smallpox mutated more slowly and the less deadly of the two main variants wasn't able to crowd out the more deadly version so it continued to infect people until it was eliminated by vaccination

    @freemayonnaise @jeff @cjd @BowsacNoodle If monkeypox was due to the covid jab women should be most affected as they were vaccinated at higher rates than men. That's the angle

    @freemayonnaise @jeff @cjd @BowsacNoodle Different populations were taking different vaccines/ batches but not different sexes. Women still caught monkeypox from bisexual males (as well as children, animals etc due to their gross degeneracy)

    @BowsacNoodle @freemayonnaise @jeff @cjd I've heard 1.2b for China as a reasonable number (~150m less than claimed).

    I don't think India really has any idea how many people they have as they're too incapable of running a census.

    There are a number of African countries who have spiralled their fake populations for election manipulation Nigeria being the best example.

    @jeff @cjd @BowsacNoodle @freemayonnaise This would mean China is currently using about 2.5x the energy per capita of the US. Energy is basically the best proxy for modern economic activity (which is why they use night illumination to compare with claimed GDP figures). This would suggest that China is already the most advanced country on earth (It's not).
