    Poor quality power, either spikes delivered by the network or lightning strikes, poor quality or degraded PSU, poorly designed mobo (becoming much more common) delivering power spikes to equipment.

    Overclocked, esp with bad numbers as well

    I'm pretty optimistic about code because of codeberg, gitea etc and the oversupply of underemployed sw engineers. Would require a lot of govt "great walls" which may come, but are hopefully not competently implemented

    HW still does degrade though. Even though RAM should only fail due to poor config or other issue pushing too much power, SSD and GPU will eventually fail with both having cost and availability issues due to RAM components. It seems China will save us though... Glory to the CPC!

    @Humpleupagus @JoeBravo77 That's probably still true, there's even a chapter of Freemasons in Israel, but they don't do their influence peddling through it.

    It's a bit like saying Massie went to MIT and it was full of Jews (true) but even if he did push for preferential treatment for his alma mater (maybe), it wouldn't be because of that.
