Imagine you spent years getting qualifications in AI, taking AI ethics courses, and working with professionals on and with some of the first image and language generators completely inside a professional and scientific environment, only to have a handful billionaires shape the whole world's perception of what artificial intelligence is associated with within two years, whilst co-opting terms like “AI safety” or “AI dangers” entirely for marketing.

Now you're left stranded with degrees and expertise in something the whole world is sick and tired of, and in a few years of time will only be associated with a bubble that once bursted. Only you and others in the field still understand how fascinating the science truly is, but even you can no longer distinguish it from the dystopian ethical issues, including plagiarism and environmental concerns.

People of color are discriminated against in the name of business and profit, so are women. Cultural stereotypes, including the stay-at-home wife, inside of the nuclear family, reproduced as a necessity to drive up individual consumption as part of our atomization, loss of society and culture. New culture and anything that doesn't fit within those tight boundaries, such as queers, are hence framed repulsive.

We must tackle white supremacist, antifeminist, and anti-queer rhetoric with the notion of one shared structural enemy, yet still observe each issue in its peculiarity to process and end it. We must live the contradiction that brings, as our world is contradictory.

As much as I'm joking here, I'm still heavily against a rhetoric within leftist circles that goes something like... “Why should we care about feminism? When the revolution comes and all classes are abolished, the oppression of women will simply cease to exist...” because that's just both historically and culturally not true. There's no “side-conflict” and “main conflict”. Such rhetoric usually often comes from people who are themselves privileged and not a minority in anything (cishet white men).

While I am in favor of combining these issues and seeing capitalism either as the root cause or catalyst in them, I am also for analyzing each problem in its peculiarity.

The patriarchy existed before a capitalist economic system, so did racism, colonialism and war.

Capitalism was always open to these forms of discrimination and oppression, which is why it could be adopted and transitioned to so easily, yet it shaped and reproduced these problems in a different way, justified them in its own form under a new banner.

Don't worry about it and fight all of these problems at their respected front instead of trying to find one root cause or combining factor in all of them, because there clearly is none. These are entirely and exclusively individual battlegrounds, and the people causing these issues also always, and exclusively, choose to cause one of them, as there's no larger incentive structure through say, for example, an economic system that would lead to this happening.

There's no systemic issue, it's just that problems with...

preventing climate change, gaining back our right to repair, shipwrecking, social justice, exploitation of the southern hemisphere, global warfare, increased environmental disasters, falling real wages, nationalism, car-based infrastructure, grifts, stochastic terrorism, queerphobia, artificial intelligence (including its “art”), racism, the cost of living crisis, erasure of women & queers in history, net neutrality, the defunding of public infrastructure, insider trading, the media literacy crisis, the militarization of the police, religious fundamentalism, income inequality, lobbyism, exploding burn-out and depression rates, hyperinflation, tax evasion, not crediting correctly, the gig economy, toxic masculinity, disinformation, crypto scams, femicides, neoliberalism, polarization, islamophobia, global surveillance, plagiarism, crime, gamer gate, healthcare systems, anti-immigration rhetoric, the commodification of yourself, planned obsolescence, media and moral panics, fentanyl crisis, fascism, brain implants, union busting, loss of abortion rights, homelessness, the atomization of the individual, police brutality, imperialism, white washing, reoccurring economic collapses, (neo)colonialism, mass shootings, anti-vax groups, (climate) refugees, sex & human trafficking

...all just happened or got worse, individually, with no connection to one another, at the same time.

Die momentan in Israel regierende Likud-Partei, zu der auch Premierminister Benjamin Netanjahu gehört, ist soeben der europäischen Parlamentsgruppe „Patriots.eu” beigetreten.

Diese Gruppe ist die Nachfolgeorganisation der „Identity and Democracy” Gruppe, zu der vor der letzten EU Wahl auch noch die AfD dazugehörte.

Diese neue Gruppe wurde gegründet von Viktor Orban's rechtsnationalistischer Partei aus Ungarn, Tschechien's rechtsextremistischer „ANO”, sowie der FPÖ aus Österreich.

Le Pen's „Rassemblement National” ist auch Mitglied geworden, die AfD sowie Polen's „PiS” Partei kommen als potenzielle Mitglieder in Frage, oder streben langfristig eine Mitgliedschaft an.

Likud tritt heute als „Beobachter-Partei”, und somit als erstes, nicht europäisches Mitglied dieser Gruppe bei. Bereits im vergangenen Jahr nach den EU Wahlen spiegelten Pressesprecher der israelischen Regierung den erkennbaren Rechtsruck Europas als etwas positives wieder, was die Interessen Israel's leichter umsetzen ließe. Dieser Beitritt scheint diese Zusammenarbeit und Vertretung der Interessen des Landes zu symbolisieren.

I do not think these people are cybercriminals. They are the best we got to help information preservation (next to the Internet Archive) in the 21st century.

The fact they had to mention that these people are Russian also strikes me as odd. They don't even seem to be government affiliated, I'm pretty sure the FBI would've said so if there was even a slight hint of that.

While OpenAI can freely use all copyrighted material and make billions off of it, these people giving it out for free are supposed “criminals”. Aaron Schwartz didn't die for this.

OpenAI directly downloaded 80+ Terabytes of books from Z-Lib to train AI models, meaning they're allowing a public and illegal redistribution of the entirety of those works, and even paywalling most of it to make money off of these historic works.

Die daraufhin resultierende Gegendemo zu einem AfD Stand in der Innenstadt hat leider sehr viel Polizeigewalt erfahren. Ich habe mich aufgrund meines Presseausweises hinter den antifaschistischen Schutzwall der Polizei (also, die Barrikaden welche die AfD vor der Antifa schützte) geschlichen, in der Hoffnung einen Tisch oder irgendwas von der AfD mitgehen zu lasen.

Leider wurde 20 Minuten später, ohne das Ich zumindest irgendeine Bekanntgebung der Polizei wahrnehmen könnte, auf mehrere Menschen mit Fronttransparent seitens der Polizei eingeschlagen und gewaltsam herausgezogen. Ob dies aufgrund von einer „verbotenen Parole” war, kann Ich nicht sagen, gehört habe Ich nichts. Lauthals wurde jedoch „Deutsche Polizisten, Schützer der Faschisten” gerufen, von dem gesamten Gegenprotest, nicht nur den wenigen Menschen.

Mehrere Personen wurden zu Boden geschubst und geschlagen, eine junge weiblich gelesene Person wurde noch stärker angegangen aus mir, erneut, unerklärlichen Gründen. Es gab keinen Versuch näher zum AfD Infostand vorzurücken und es war eine angemeldete Gegendemo.

Die Frau wurde daraufhin von 7 Polizisten mit Blut im Gesicht abgeführt. Alles bis auf den letzten Teil habe Ich auf Video, da mein Akku leider alle gegangen ist.

Danke das die Polizei die arme AfD vor der radikalen Terrororganisation Omas gegen Rechts geschützt hat.

Boris Pistorius, welcher sich sehr engagiert dafür eingesetzt hat das die Bundeswehr auch Wehrmacht-Soldaten ehren darf, und den Slogan „Nie Wieder Krieg, Nie Wieder Faschismus” bestenfalls zu 50% unterstützt, hat mir heute erklärt warum Rechtsextremismus in Deutschland ganz böse ist.

Demo gegen Rechts in Hannover. Vom Hauptbahnhof bis zum Opernplatz steht alles voll. Sowas habe Ich noch nie gesehen. Ich kann das Ende der Menschenkette nicht sehen.

While moralizing class relations and the subjugation of minorities helps direct people's anger the right way, it still hides the shameful truth: rich people don't hate minorities or the working class, they just act in their own interest and have no issues with the collateral damage that inherently causes. Hatred against trans and queer people, as well as against foreigners, simply acts as a means to an end, which is dividing the working class so they can't stand up for their own interests united.
