    I use those drives in iODD USB ODD emulators.

    Makes booting .ISO and other images very painless even in UEFI mode 🙂

    You can sometimes get some 48GByte Kits on eBay UK for what now passes as reasonably good prices.

    Resale values even on older kits aren't much better than new retail prices.

    Anything over 32GByte kits are unaffordable unless there is a compelling business return on investment 🫤

    I bought some 32GByte DDR5 6000 M/T CAS 26 just before the price rises for around £100 and now the same kit is no longer available.

    CAS 28 is for around £350 - £400 assuming those prices reflect actual stock.

    CAS 26 is closer to £450 if it's available at all.

    Silicon Power seems to be offering the best prices for usable DDR5 at the moment. Still looking at £310+ though 😟
