Don't waste any time mourning. Organize!
Joe Hill, 1915
What I find strange is that the same people that (rightly) called out Trump for his "Black jobs" statements then blithely talked about "Black voters" as if they were a homogeneous group.
McSweeney's has a handy list of things that Trump did last time around, in case you've forgotten a few.

Before one gets too upset about Elon Musk spending $45 million per month to elect Trump, remember it's only a scant one-tenth of one percent of his Tesla bonus.
Loki wants his photo shared too.
This French book of prayers is unique in that it is not printed, but is woven in silk on a Jacquard loom.
It was programmed on several hundred thousand punch cards over two years.

Now I feel better about my 4 years in grad school. Never got a PhD but certainly obtained my PTSD.
They forgot to send me the diploma though.
This was the first (and only) of a planned series of Quadrilateral Macs.
Notice that the right side is taller than the left and that the top is wider than the bottom. This rather daring departure from the norm was not received well (except by optometrists who had a sudden influx of patients demanding new glasses).
Trying to find the best cardio exercise? Maybe Google search can help.
So Elon Musk needs 46 billion dollars to stay motivated.
Maybe Tesla should ask employees whether they prefer:
A. Give Musk 46 billion and he stays
B. Musk leaves and everyone gets a $340,000 raise.
Adam Gopnik in the New Yorker on Hitler's rise to power in 1932.
How this was facilitated by conservatives who thought they would be in control, and by the press that normalized his behavior.
I had always thought it facile to compare Trump to Hitler. I no longer think that.
Why was this never mentioned in school?
Google search is getting so good now. I'm always learning new things.

Donald Trump at his New Jersey speech:
“The late, great Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man,” Trump continued. “He oftentimes would have a friend for dinner. Remember the last scene? ‘Excuse me, I’m about to have a friend for dinner’ as this poor doctor walked by. ‘I’m about to have a friend for dinner.’ But Hannibal Lecter, congratulations. The late, great Hannibal Lecter.”
Former Trump aide bragging on TikTok:
"So I always keep this fake Hollywood money in my car, so when a homeless person asks for money, and I give them like a $5 bill, I feel good about myself, they feel good," said McEntee, also a senior advisor to Project 2025. "And then when they go to use it, they get arrested, so I'm actually helping to clean up the community and get them off the street."
My Mother, in 1980:
“You know, I’ve always said, if you can’t think of anything nice to say about someone, you should say nothing at all.”
“What was the question? Oh yes, what do I think about Reagan.”
She then sipped her coffee in complete silence.
Miss you Mom.
Trump and Jeff Sessions separated 4600 children from their parents seeking asylum.
They did not keep records.
1400 still have not been reunited with their family.

The only time I’ve been beaten by police was in NYC in 1969.
I was at a peace rally at a field near the edge of Central Park and was one of the volunteers on the perimeter. A van pulled up on the path. A group, in full Nazi attire and carrying Swastika flags, jumped out right next to the rally. They ended up running away, chased by some from the crowd. Several of us ran alongside yelling at people to turn back, to little avail.
Two blocks away they turned a corner and…
