if Texans keep voting for republicans, the whole state is going to be a data center

also, for many people, their property values are the only 'security' they have

when a data center moves in, they will never be able to sell their homes/property and will either have to live there or abandon their property

i moved to the SW US and they still live in IL and watch fox propaganda

both of them kept trying to talk about 'immigrants' (which our family ARE ALSO IMMIGRANTS)

i finally said, 'i live down here, you don't and fox is lying to you so i don't want to hear any more lies and racism since our family are immigrants and children and grand children of immigrants'

the response was 'well i have to go'

the reports of parents lamenting that their children don't talk to them or let them see their grandchild are illustrative

they never ask why, there is no self reflection

all i ever wanted was a heartfelt 'yes we probably screwed up but we did the best we could and i'm sorry'

i just get 'you were a difficult child'

i didn't have kids because i didn't want to fuck up more humans, even by accident

don't hit your kids

it creates lasting issues of trust and confuses what love means

for some children it creates an environment where they embrace abuse/abusers, for others it creates an environment where they make themselves small and hide

it creates wounds that never heal completely

i know from personal experience

with the help of a qualified therapist i have healed as much as possible, the the damage is still there

don't hit your kids, don't let anyone else hit your kids
