I don't think these people understand that for folks like me, you, my son, so many of us, this election isn't about the right to DO things, this battle is about living in a country where we have the right to BE WHO WE ARE. It doesn't get any more fundamental or basic than that. They just don't want us to exist at all. To be who we are in "their" society.

That was why I mentioned a system that supports them. If we had a system that removed or better yet, screened out people like Derek Chauvin, we wouldn't have murders like George Floyd or Philandro Castille.

The problem is there ARE bastard cops. We need a system that gets them OUT, not one that rewards them.

It's significant to point out that BIPOC need *good* policing EVEN MORE than White people do.

There was some "pretty blonde" (and leering) "Republican Strategist" on #CNN yesterday who admitted the slurs weren't true but had the intended effect that "we are all talking about immigration now! Yay!".
So they know these are harmful lies that will likely kill people, but deliberate deception is good #Republican strategy, so, meh.
These people are sick.

Just spitballing, but I've had some long and interesting discussions about the inherent racism of #AI. Couldn't it be turned on its head for school admissions? Smarter people than me would have to figure out how.
