Do you honestly believe Republican megadonors will roll over and say "sure, you can replace Biden and defeat us"? Have you all seen the last 8 years? They will file thousands of lawsuits to prevent that in front of the corrupt judges they've been paying off for decades and they will win.

What I'm choosing to believe (with good reason) is that the polls are completely fucked (conducted as they are by compromised parties who support Trump for drama and clicks) and as has happened in every single election since Dobbs, that Republicans are going dramatically underperformed and be crushed in November. But I could be totally wrong.

Something I've noticed as an employer is many young people have unrealistic expectations of how seriously their ideas must be taken, how they should be praised for a job well-done (or even just done), and how much direction they will receive.
In an internship or volunteer job, they thank you with praise, at a business the thank you is often just your paycheck unless you really deliver.
Many young people have little respect for institutional knowledge or experience. I don't know why.

I was in a citizen committee meeting yesterday. We were discussing #DEI and improving outreach to marginalized communities, immigrants, ESL, etc.. The chair (ypungish White woman), wanted to be helpful but struggled to find the words for what she called "not traditional" communities, and then "those others". It was cringe. Even when she was proposing a (one) position dedicated to reaching out to "those others", like one minority will stand in for them all.... Sigh.
