Democrats were beaten for now by a 60 year realignment of White people to supporting racism, xenophobia, sexism, bigotry, and fear of non-white immigrants having rights. They aren't coming back for scoobie-snacks. They can get scoobie-snacks from their own team.
I've seen this evolve my entire life.
Maybe we change the messaging, but none of those people are coming back. Not ever.

You know what #JohnKing of #CNN? There are an awful lot of people who make less than $75K per year who aren't stupid enough to vote for Donald Fucking Trump. So maybe it isn't the Dems in Washington who are the problem. Maybe it's the news media who refuse to tell people the truth and simp that Trump and Harris are equal candidates.

I don't think these people understand that for folks like me, you, my son, so many of us, this election isn't about the right to DO things, this battle is about living in a country where we have the right to BE WHO WE ARE. It doesn't get any more fundamental or basic than that. They just don't want us to exist at all. To be who we are in "their" society.

That was why I mentioned a system that supports them. If we had a system that removed or better yet, screened out people like Derek Chauvin, we wouldn't have murders like George Floyd or Philandro Castille.
