Why did Abraham find it believable that God wanted him to sacrifice his son, if he didn't have the same beliefs as his baby killing neighbors?

But you're not understanding the historical context of the Levant, with their unique tradition of child sacrifice.

I don't doubt the general historicity of much of the OT because it's a priestly work, and priests were calendar keepers. The reference material the priests used to compose the OT books were largely priestly astrological records, interspersed with notes about the coronations of kings etc. But to deny it was composed as a narrative to teach a particular view on faith, based on their beliefs at the time they wrote it, denies the reality of how books are written. The Bible is not a collection of dates and events, it's a teaching document, giving you a story, telling you not to sacrifice babies.

Yes, the Bible is correct in telling us the name of Abram - abba ram - father thunder.

Fascinating that the article does no investigation of Abram, but goes on and on about Abraham.
Ram is thunder in Hebrew.
Hebrew is funny, a tea kettle is called a cum-cum, which is up-up, because the water rises in boiling. It's a rather primitive language, relatively easy to learn. It's given more sophistication in translation by choosing words like "exhalted" rather than the simpler direct translation which is "thunder." Thunder can mean exhalted because it's associated with the exhalted ancient storm gods.

You could say Abraham was the end of Taurus, his grandfather was a bull like character. Nahor means snorter, like a bull or a horse snorting. But I don't think Biblical astrology is always that direct, it's the framework of the stories that is astrological.
Here's how I look at it: The OT books were based on older material, records kept by priests. the primary job of priests was to keep the calendar, essential for an agricultural society. From Mesopotamia, there's lots of tablets that are just record keeping of star location and celestial events. Within those records they also wrote down political events, and the results of haruspices, which were liver readings. They'd examine the liver of a sacrificed animal, to give omens about impending battles etc. Such records are the most likely source material for 1st & 2nd Kings, and 1st & 2nd Chronicles, 1st & 2nd Samuel, and even Judges. So, those books are all laced with astrology, because of their origin material.
Then, there's just the basic astrology of ancient story telling, it's a well studied aspect of The Epic of Gilgamesh. The events of the story can be traced through the stars, in the sequence of the Zodiac, through the year. That's not controversial, it's accepted by academia. The same is probably true for The Iliad, but I haven't made a study of it. It makes a lot of sense for oral traditions to use the stars, because it helps with memorization. I've identified the same astrological sequence in the story of Moses and Judges is a really obvious star story. And, the story of Jesus follows the same format.
I avoid talking about such things too much around here because it's likely to piss off some Christians. But it is very interesting and I don't think it takes anything away from Christianity.
BTW: Abram is the contraction of abba and ram, which means father thunder. He's Zeus, aka Baal. The Christian interpretation of being the spiritual children of Abram, rather than jews being his genetic offspring, makes perfect sense when you understand Abram was Zeus.

You're looking at it backwards.
You need to go back to the Bronze Age, when Aryans spread out in all directions, and took their religion with them. All of the religions have a common origin, so there were Zeus type gods from India to Portugal, and from Finland to Egypt.
jews didn't exist in the Bronze Age. The earliest historical reference outside of the Bible to Yehud is as the provincial name given to the region of Jerusalem by the Persians. In the Bible, Judah is the bad son, who sells his little brother into slavery. Judas is the betrayer of Jesus. The glorification of jews is from jews, not Christianity. And all the records of the Early Church show great animosity towards jews. The jew love by Christians is new, mostly beginning with Scofield in America, a bit with the Plymouth Brethren in England. But their main power in Europe was not religious, it was monetary. It was our kings that sold us out, not the church.

The story we have about Abraham is no older than the Persian Period. It's more likely Genesis took it's current form in the Hellenistic era.

You ask an Israeli what that noise after lightening is, they will say: "ram." You know a lot about the crap pencil pushing theologians wrote, but you don't know Hebrew.

jews are getting ready to burn up a cow as an animal sacrifice in Jerusalem in a few days. No, I'm not kidding, they're really doing it. Their ultimate plan is to destroy Al Aqsa, build their temple, then do all the animal sacrifice killing described in Leviticus. They will be killing thousands of animals for these crazy sacrifices.

If you think my nose is big, you should have seen my mom. She really got the English genes. Not all big noses are jew, and not all jews have big noses. But when jews have big noses they're a particular shape, that isn't common in Whites, even those of us who have big noses. Here's an example of an English nose - Mark Collett. He's not jewish.

I don't have many of my 80's photos scanned. I only have this one because my friend, who I cropped out of this picture, sent it to me, I was freezing my ass off on this Easter day. California is a lie, it's cold and houses are poorly insulated. That's why I'm wearing the leather coat I got bought Italy, a couple years earlier.

The verbal abuse shit is ridiculous and insulting to women who've endured physical abuse. What's also wrong are the laws requiring doctors to report abuse for adult women, regardless of the woman's wishes. How the heck is that giving rights to women? It takes away the right of women to protect their family from legal and financial abuse by the government. It discourages abused women from getting healthcare. It also discourages family members from trying to help, because who wants to end up in the middle of legal and financial crap, because of retarded relatives?

No, it's defined by courts, with a legal system run by jews. Women have been bitching since the Garden of Eden, but our laws about abuse are a recent invention.

I swore I'd never go back. But Gab is a ghost town and this place is all friends. It's great to be with friends, but I need to be around some jerk-offs who inspire memes.

We're in a war, not a single battle. We've battled on Gab, to win over conservatives for about eight years. The wins there will be diminishing. I'm not saying to leave completely, just that it isn't where the action will be.
More fruitful will be on Twatter and Tiktok, the enemy's own platforms, where liberals already hate Israel.
And for a home base, this platform is perfect.
