I'd say it's the opposite, it's very easy to get mind collapse because your feed is filled with bullshit that makes you sad and angry.

I understand when people don't like authoritarian moderation when someone who isn't you dictates you what you allowed to see, but i really don't understand the rejection of personal blocks.
After all, "ignore" is the same as a block in its effect, but for some reason you'd rather spend the resources of your own mind instead of handing that operation over to a machine. -

I suppose it depends on how it's designed.
I think it would be fair to say that "like" or "like and repost" is more likely to be positive engagement, while "comment with no like" is more likely to be negative engagement.
The negative engagement (massive holywars) is lead people to spend more time on the website, so if your goal is maximize "whatever kind of engagement" it's easier to promote the negative one. -

This is true, but i've read articles that facebook is explicitly boosting posts with "hot takes" and other stuff provoking people to start shitting to increase engagement, so i choose to stay away from it.
