    Hey Fedi

    I'm embarking on a project and was hoping some of y'all could lend some ideas

    As many of you lot know, I am an A1 music nerd, with a FLAC library bigger than every COD Black Cocks 67 copy ever sold.

    I recently purchased a Hi-Fi stereo, and am reasonably irked that there is no way to connect it to my Jellyfin server, cleanly anyways, until now

    I'm building a Pi5 based network endpoint with a built in DAC to stream from my server, to the pi, and through my sound system. Part of this is writing a UI to go on the front of the box, which currently looks like pic attached.

    The interface will be a web endpoint hosted locally (eh) but also 2 physical buttons, each hosting a long and short press

    As i type this, ive mocked it in python, where button 1 long press swaps to a pre-determined background music playlist, and button 2 short press skips the track

    Im hoping to make this a rad bit of equipment that I use for decades, so if YOU have any cool ideas, that won't take up too many CPU cycles... please let me know


    P.S I will write the actual finished software in Rust, because thermals matter
