    @sysrq @lina @MK2boogaloo @mint meh, I always found that local Cola brands suck balls. Coke has (or at least used to have) some special formula that made Cola taste somewhat decently (you know, the one that dissolved bones in the 90's and 2000's).

    Local brands of soda tend to be pretty good, tho.

    @BigTLarrity kek, in Brazil last month a guy who got famous for participating in the "Big Brother" tbmv show challenged Popó, the brazillian boxer who was 4x World Champion and had a 29 knockout streak, thinking that he stood a chance because Popó was retired. The guy got his teeth knocked out in 30 seconds. Unfortunately he didn't die, tho.

    RTS games would suck, but then again, RTS is the shittiest strategy genre out there, so it's not a huge loss.

    @Zergling_man @lina @MK2boogaloo @Fash-E @Titanbreakerkun @RehnSturm256 the OLED Steam Deck already dropped, AFAIK. But at least in here the prices of the old one didn't go down, not enough at least.
    And that's kinda what makes the Ally such a good proposition. The Ally, at least around here, costs a bit less than the most expensive Steam Deck while providing arguably superior hardware and experience.

    I was very tempted into buying a Steam Deck, but it looks like the ROG Ally is better bang for the buck, at least in here. It's a shame it's not available in black, tho, white is a very shitty color for an handheld.

    Dear diary

    I think one of the best things I've ever did for my family was to teach my brother how to administer, monitor and control my nephew's YouTube and overall cellphone usage. He's a perfectly happy, smart and well educated 9 year old boy who's doing way better than his peers, and doesn't show any sign of possibly trooning out (I unfortunately can't say the same about his maternal cousin about the same age).

    For those of you who are tech savvy: find the middle ground to help your family without scaring them off. It doesn't matter if you think all big tech is pozzed and we should all live in the woods, normies will never accept it. I would never be able to steer my brother and my nephew to "alternate sites" or any shit like that, but on the other hand, it was very easy to set up Google's parental controls, teach him how to use it and warn him about what he should be on the lookout for.

    Summing up: don't be spergs, you'll be able to help people way more.

    Dear diary

    So today I had a super hyper very important company meeting/training/whatever about some privacy laws and other bullshit like that, which were conducted by some third party auditors and was obligatory for everyone to attend.

    Said third party used fucking Google Meet for this obligatory meeting. For those of you who aren't aware, taking some pages from 90s Microsoft manual, Google purposefuly gimps the experience of Google Meet in Firefox. It seems Mozilla managed to work with Google to add some funcionalities to Meet in Firefox, but the experience is still gimped.
    The biggest culprit is the "approval" to join meetings. If Meet detects you are on Firefox, instead of just letting you join the meeting for which you already had the link and the security code, it puts you on wait and sends a message to the host for them to approve you joining. Chrome/Chromium users don't have this problem, it auto approves.

    The problem is that people are so retarded they don't even know this is a "feature", so they have no idea they have to manually approve people joining. As a result, I was stuck in a limbo, and didn't join the super important meeting.
    Of course people noticed, and I was promptly asked why, oh why wasn't I in such an important meeting. To which I just replied with a blank stare and a screenshot of the waiting screen saying I was awaiting to be approved to join. So, people from my company asked the third party guys to let me in, but it seems they are really incredibly retarded, and they have absolutely no idea how to do it.
    Even my direct coleagues, which are technical guys, were baffled, because according to them, "they didn't even see such screen when they joined the meeting". Which tells me they are all Chromefags. They may even be using Opera GX, for all I know. And they had no idea why I wasn't able to just join.
    But I know why. And it would be a very easy fix. I could just, you know, download Chromium and join the meeting through it. But I didn't, because fuck that. If they want to use shitty tools, the least they could do was to learn how to use said shitty tools. Also, I got a one hour break where I did absolutely nothing, as I was "trying to join the meeting". As the icing of the cake, since I was not able to join due to technical reasons (that have absolutely nothing to do with me), and it was such an important subject, the faggots of the third party auditor will now have to create an offline presentation with all the info they presented in this meeting just to send it to me.

    Fuck everyone, be a nigger to the system, and never compromise.
