It's the same reason they don't offer you memory card support anymore (and Apple pioneered this): so they can charge you 300 bucks extra to give you 256gb of storage instead of 128gb.

    He's a bit of an iPhone fanboy, tho. The same complaints he had in that phone review are stuff Apple has been doing for years with the iPhone, but he never complained about those.

    Samsung also gives you big updates, phone trade in (I was able to get a huge discount by giving them my shitty old Galaxy S21) and a good ecosystem.
    But he still complained that the phone "barely changed" from the last generation, because the screen size and the cameras are the same, and the only things that changed were... the glass quality, the hinge technology, the screen brightness, the processor and the storage.

    @ChristiJunior @LukeAlmighty yeah, if it weren't for hard rules against smoking in certain places, I'd have a coworker who would smoke at the table while having lunch together.

    The only reason any smoker shows any sort of "consideration" is if there is a hard rule against smoking, or if everyone else in the place tells him to go fuck himself and to smoke elsewhere. It's not even that they don't care, but they are so used to the smell that they don't even notice it anymore, and they think no one else does.

    @Hoss to be fair, the "sex work is your only option" seems to be coming from the reality of their situation, the guy is telling them how it is, since, as he said, it will be nearly impossible for someone to give them work, even if under the table.

    And also he's pretty clear in telling them that if they go into prostitution they'll be screwed and the girl will be facing criminal charges.

    It looks to me that the guy was trying to tell them "don't do it you stupid dumb fucks, you have no way to sustain yourselves", I just wished he did say that directly, even if at the end.

    @icedquinn @MercurialBlack @s8n Lancer doesn't have much in common with D&D, tbh. Completely different mechanics and style.
    I haven't played Lancer because the group we were organizing to play it ended up quitting before we started, but I read it and really liked the system. It seems pretty simple when compared to other mecha systems, which makes for quicker and lighter gameplay, and allows players to be creative in building their own mechas.

    And the unofficial character creation tool is insanely good, way better than the crap WotC officially releases for D&D.
