I'm on Mastodon seven days a week, follow a diverse group of people, topics and hashtags and I've seen none of it

2) How is adding the hashtag "# RussianTrolls" to anything related to blocking going to do anything but block that hashtag?

3) the post you link to seems to date to July 3 2023 -- back last summer when everyone (well, some people) were consumed with Meta/Threads panic -- the crux of which has not materialized

Currently there are nine Threads profiles (Mosseri et al) that can be cloned over here on Mastodon

You can seem to Reply to those Threads profile clones over here, but your reply does *not* propagate back to the original profile on Threads

I know: I've experimented with all that repeatedly (see: my pinned posts)

And that's it: the entire sum of the Meta/Threads invasion as of Jan 24 2024

Just looked into this again today

There is *no* "interoperability" between #Mastodon and #Threads currently

You can search for "Threads.net" and find profiles (Mosseri et al) than can seem to be opened on Mastodon, but they are *not* linked back to the original profiles on Threads

Thus you can *seem* to reply to one of those profiles on Mastodon, but your reply does *not* propagate back to the original profile on Threads

@mosseri -- seeming to be here on Mastodon -- is an illusion

If you know the last name of the person who comes to *my* mind (who is *not* named Kainoa) do a Search for his last name and select Profiles

By my last count he has some eight profiles -- unless someone is cloning him for some reason

So he's a busy little bee, somewhere

Turns out that it's being boosted by "AP-AT-Bridge Group" -- which I *do* Follow

Damn Groups are spammy reply bots that saturate the Home feed of everyone who Follow them -- even when they're not participating in a particular thread, or even when a particular thread has wandered *way* off-topic

Not at all the first time this has happened, either

Jack Dorsey is a disingenuous liar

It's what these people are; it's at the very core of what they do

Dorsey *is* corporate

Dorsey == Zuckerberg == Musk and all the rest of that lot

And anyone who seriously believes that Dorsey is *not* the Man Behind the Curtain at Bluesky, pulling *all* the levers, is unfamiliar with global corporate governance in the 2020s

I'm going to bite on this again, aren't I?

I saw the entire history of this issue as it happened here, live, and I've been directly involved with some of the main characters

It started out on Mastodon with a Mastodon Authority(tm) ("Masto Migra") selectively clipping some Very Famous People(tm) who (allegedly) were all going to move off to Bluesky because they weren't being treated with the deferential obeisance that their Position In Life(tm) had led them to expect they deserved

That's the real crux of it

I've been blocked by several them at different times; the triggering keyword (I'm not making this up) in two cases who shall remain unnamed was literally "hubris"

Hubris: "... exaggerated pride or self-confidence, often a dangerous character flaw in ancient Greek tragedy"

Sure, these people know some things, but lots of people know some things

That said, on mastodon - mastodon-android I can find no mention of this in either Issues (open or closed) or Pull Requests (open or closed) using any search modifiers I can quickly think of - given the time I'm willing to waste looking

And there don't seem to be any mastodon-android Discussions

Interesting to note that a couple of the techy-bro-outlets have already picked up on the issue

So this seems to be get-out-in-front-of-the-issue damage control more that anything
