I have defederated Threads.net from cyberplace.social as prior announced two weeks ago, due to policy enforcement that aligns them hate sites like Kiwi Farms.
I am pro-federation. I only fully suspend 6 instances here, with 4 of those containing child porn, so Meta joins a unique club.
I will remove the block if they revise their policies and enforcement to sound less like a 7 year old boy on 8chan.
As for instances:
1. Vivaldi social (Mastodon mainline)
2. C.wtf (Rebase/Soapbox)
3. Bookwyrm.social (flagship)
4. C.im (Mastodon mainline)
5. Pixelfed.social (flagship)
6. Threads.net
7. Aleph.land (Glitch-soc, fork of Mastodon)
8. Fedia.social (Iceshrimp, fork of Misskey)
9. catodon.social (Catodon/Iceshrimp/Firefish)
10. Node9.org (or any Hubzilla instances that can connect to Bridgy, since you can have one and the same connected profiles in any Hubzilla instances if you want)
@dansup does it mean that federation with Threads.net will be possible? Currently it doesn’t support instances without public feed if I’m not wrong?
Threads.net has been suspended on this server (darkmoon.social) due to Meta's policy decisions that enable systemic abuse and disinformation across its platforms.
This is a decision I've been mulling over for a while now, and recent events have pushed me to finally pull the trigger. I will not associate with fascists, even by proxy. I'm sorry to lose access to good content by people who have accounts there, but enough is enough.

Looking for a new server. Any recommendations?
There are a few reasons for the transition, one of them being that graphics.social is federated with Threads.net. I have the domain blocked for the time being, but I feel like one last move to a community that aligns more with my values is the right choice.
I am:
Pro democracy
Makes art
A regular poindexter
Atheist
Neurodivergent
Cat, frog and fish dad 🐱 🐸 🐟
I just want to exist for the long term where I am most welcome.

IMPORTANT: New Policy... A few days ago, I expressed concern over Meta’s new fact-checking and content moderation policies. When Threads announced its move to the Fedi over a year ago, we chose not to take preemptive action. Instead, we saw that we had all the tools needed for proportional responses to potential threats to keep our folks safe. And as we stated then, we would treat Threads.net like any other Fediverse server.
