WARNING #Russian bots seem to be flooding the #Fediverse.
You can use the method described in the post below to block #META and add #RussianTrolls to it in the csv file:
WARNING #Russian bots seem to be flooding the #Fediverse.
You can use the method described in the post below to block #META and add #RussianTrolls to it in the csv file:
1) "I've seen none of it"
I have one dubios follow request per hour or so myself, up from a couple a day.
Not seeing does not mean it does not happen, e. g:

https://mstdn.social/@stux/111800177230783839

https://mstdn.social/@Linux_Is_Best/111800935446204396
2) #Threads
I clearly stated that the *method* can be used to block users, instances on a personal, non-admin level.
OFC, it does not include today's trolls.
I prefer to be safe than sorry. #BlockMeta...on an account level
1) Where exactly and with specificity are "Russian Trolls" (NOTE: I will *not* hashtag that) "flooding the Fediverse"?
Or is the escape hatch the hedge word "seem"
I'm on Mastodon seven days a week, follow a diverse group of people, topics and hashtags and I've seen none of it
2) How is adding the hashtag "# RussianTrolls" to anything related to blocking going to do anything but block that hashtag?
3) the post you link to seems to date to July 3 2023 -- back last summer when everyone (well, some people) were consumed with Meta/Threads panic -- the crux of which has not materialized
Currently there are nine Threads profiles (Mosseri et al) that can be cloned over here on Mastodon
You can seem to Reply to those Threads profile clones over here, but your reply does *not* propagate back to the original profile on Threads
I know: I've experimented with all that repeatedly (see: my pinned posts)
And that's it: the entire sum of the Meta/Threads invasion as of Jan 24 2024
Sorry....
@HistoPol If that were true, I'd be really curious about how these trolls want to invade my bubble. If anything, I really miss exposure to content outside my self-created bubble here on mastodon. Seriously, what's the problem with trolls or meta? I can't find them anyway, since I see only what I follow and nothing "trending" or stuff. Totally stupid, but really bad for trolls.

I've written more than a dozen threads on the latter subject, and I "recommend" being on the #DeadBirdSite" for experiencing the former. Some things can't be learned from acquired learning. 😉

@HistoPol They are decending on Mastodon/fediverse now.😡
@HistoPol oops. I replied to a different section of your toot before I saw the beginning. Sorry.
Yes, exacrly my initial point:
@HistoPol I bookmarked this. Thanks. 😊
And "#X" is not only permitting #Russians and their collaborators inundate the platform. Sexual harassment is rife, too, on the #DeadBirdSite:
Sexually explicit #AI-generated images of #TaylorSwift have been circulating on X (formerly Twitter) over the last day in the latest example of the proliferation of AI-generated fake pornography and the challenge of stopping it from spreading.
One of the most prominent examples on X attracted more than 45 million...

hundreds of thousands of likes and bookmarks before the verified user who shared the images had their account suspended for violating platform policy. The post was live on the platform for around 17 hours prior to its removal."

Let me know when you need help, and I'll see.
@HistoPol I will keep you in mind. thank you. Appreciate the help. That goes both directions too, eh.😉
