Looks like Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany could eventually get a seventh beer tent: Giesinger Bräu

We need more beer geeks on Mastodon.
The one thing that I like about Nostr (the protocol) is that you don’t need to create an account for every platform.
Instead, you create a pair of keys (public/private) that can be used across all #Nostr platforms/apps and everything (content to social graph) is just there, wherever you are.
And you can change your handle (to a domain) as often as you want without losing anything, because you’re not locked into platform-specific accounts.
I wish ActivityPub had this.
@mike Unless you’re a Threads user in the European Region. 🫤
But the new Bluesky updates are most impressive.
Found my Nostr keys (in between the couch cushions). Decided to learn more about the protocol and its community. Just for fun.

Got my first Zap too! ⚡️
@evanprodromou Just submitted a bug report to Meta/Threads for not supporting fediverse sharing in the European Region.
Just saw that The Onion ships their newspaper internationally.
“$60 and beyond: Receive 12 monthly issues of The Onion’s print edition, delivered right to your mailbox. Monthly subscribers pledging more than $5 qualify for print delivery. We ship internationally. This special promotional rate ends on August 31.”
Not sure if additional shipping is added before checking out, but I'm highly considering becoming a member/subscribing.
@janbartosik @aba @loar I’ve been tagged. What’s up?
Doing my best to get The Onion to join the fediverse so we can follow them on Mastodon and beyond…
@mmasnick Why mess around with an annoying freemium platform that's designed to upsell?
Keep an on the @openvibe app. It currently supports Mastodon, Bluesky, and Nostr. Threads is in the works.
It offers a single timeline across all platforms (you can filter by platform too), crossposting, and the ability to engage across all platforms in one place.
Loving these @IceCubesApp updates from @dimillian based on recent updates to Mastodon that support author attribution.

@evan I have questions…

Great interview with Jay Graber (CEO, #Bluesky) on Decoder with Nilay Patel (@reckless1280), where they dig into some of the major difference between Bluesky (#ATProtocol) and #Mastodon (#ActivityPub).

@Gargron Good to know. Thanks.
Safe to assume it’s just a bug for the poster then? Happens every time I edit a post.
@Gargron Are edited posts removed from follower Home feeds too? 🤔
Not sure if this is a #Mastodon bug or by design, but I've noticed that whenever I edit a post it immediately disappears from my Home timeline via the deck and official app.

@codinghorror LOL at any man who misses the entire point of the piece and feels attacked for being a man.
bUT wHaT aBoUT wOMen?!?
😆
@mmasnick Yes, please post more here and less on Bluesky.
I’m starting to see people on #Bluesky announce that they’re moving to #Threads. Especially those who rely on engagement.
Why?
#Meta’s adoption of #ActivityPub vs. #ATProtocol.
