Mona 6.8.3 is now available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The app now shows a privacy notice on the post composer when composing mention-only or follower-only posts. Additionally, an enhanced checking process has been implemented prior to uploading pictures or videos to Mastodon to ensure GPS information is stripped. https://getmona.app

Please avoid installing the iOS/iPadOS version 6.7.2 of Mona, as it is not functioning. I have temporarily removed the app from the App Store. A newer update is on the way, and it will become available as soon as Apple approves it. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

@feld Hi, the content-length is set by the Apple software. The actual upload size could be vary from the original file size due to Apple’s video encoding and compressing.
@MichaelPorter@LALegault That’s a new feature of iOS 17. By default apps have access to location info of photos selected by you (since the very first iOS), but that doesn’t mean apps always upload your location info to a server. You can disable the photo location access in the system privacy settings for photos.
